I have the chance to get an R.O.B for the NES that has never been opened. I am just wondering if there is any way to tell if it has been opened.....like a seal or something like that.

It was recently taken out of storage at a store and put on the shelf. They are asking $95 cad for it though X_x

Should I pay that much if it is mint and unopened?

Does it come with Gyromite or Stack Up and all the pieces so that it can play gyromite or Stack up? (each game uses different pieces which are very hard to come by)

Make sure that it comes with that crap or else its worthless for play value. unless you dont plan on playing with it.

I got a used ROB with Gyromite and all the parts COMPLETE and in pretty good functioning condition on eBay for 40 bucks last November.

I remember getting up from Thanksgiving Dinner to go bid on the item.

This ROB appears to have never been opened. So I am assuming it has everything included. I asked the store owner and he said it has never been opened. He had just taken it out of storage a week ago.

Way to high.. A mint ROB (and I mean MINT) only commands around $20 US.

now if that includes stack-up then it is a steal.

Souds like its the R.O.B. By itself package.

There were a few ways to get it when it came out
Alone, with a NES or With one of the 2 games I think, Im not sure I was 6 years old at the time.

I wouldnt pass up a sealed ROB. Thats a high price, you could get a gamecube for that, but still, its a ROB, i wouldnt pass it up.

I wouldnt pass it up for that either. If it is brand new, you could probably get more than $95 on ebay, so i would go for it, plus it will look great on a shelf. :)

I am not a pro collector at all but I have a hard time believing I could get one in that condition for $20 usd.

Are you talking about the box that contains JUST the robot? If so, it will not come with any games or any of the required peices. The only time ROB came together with the peices was in the 'deluxe set'. The idea was that you would purchase the ROB-only box along with either Stack-up or with the big-box gyromite that contains all of the required peices (and is very scarce).

As far as worth is concerned, what is the condition of the box like? I would think that the box condition would cause more fluxuation in the value since the ROB box was never technically "sealed". Even if the ROB is brand-spanking-new, if it comes in a beat-up box you will get much less for it on eBay.

Its not so hard to believe.. you guys are reading Ebay for pricing of console items..

I'll bet you can't even list all the things that came with ROB to make it complete. :)

A mint rob is worth no more the $20-30 even with the box..

Raedon is right. Even on E-Bay they only go for $15-25 complete.
And most of the time you can get them in the box with a NES for under $45.00.

I would get it. It is priced a little high. But that will look nice in your collection, and it was in the wild.

It is the lone ROB in the box. The box is in near perfect condition as it has been in storage for years.

I want this for my personal collection, not to sell on ebay.

Well..

if any of you folks have just the box for sale (I need the box + styro and probably manual) please let me know!

I have a complete working ROB (put it together for 3 different sets over time!) except for the box.. and I don't like the way it's collecting dust.

I'm willing to go for either the deluxe box or just the rob box..

the box should be in good shape..
