Hopefully it's not just me on this one...

Generally when I involve other people in my gaming sessions, it's for the almighty Winning Eleven 7. Occasionally I'll get my friends into other games but it's rare.

Despite owning two playstation guitars (er.. well I did till last weekend when I broke them both) I've never yet played Guitar Freaks in two-player mode, despite it seeming to be lots of fun.

Also, I'd love to play Mat Hoffman 2 on the Cube two-player as it's one of my favourite games (depsite the bugs!) but nope.. it's always football.

So.. what games would you love to play two-player (or more) but you just can't interest people in it?

My regular Ikaruga partner has been out of action for the last 3 months (after breaking both his ankles(!) and temporarily moving back to his parents).
It doesn't feel right playing in one-player anymore. :(

Sadly not that glamorous! I was trying to repair them as they were being temperamental - seems I did more harm than good!

I've never had someone kick ass along side me in Salamander. Maybe someday... :(

I got to play a Guitar Freaks + Drummania 3-player session once...2 of my friends on Guitar and me on Drums. AND MY DRUMS BROKE AFTER 3 SONGS. Damn you Topway.

Back on topic, nobody wants to play me in Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution.... 14m3rZ

I ahve a Ms. Pacman arcade machine that no one will play me in. My average score is 80,000. My record is 120,000 (not exact) . SO most people will only play me if i move the joystick with my chin. I still usually win.

I used to be able to play Guilty Gear XX on PS2 with anyone. Sadly no one will play against me anymore. Oops. Guess I got too good with... every character.

My area sucks for 2D fighting game talent.

I could never finagle a three-person session for Secret of Mana, so off it went. I got a Turbo Grafx 16 and Bonk for it, so I would say I'm better off.

And before anyone starts jumping down my throat about it being the greatest action RPG ever.. ..No. That game had some serious bugs, especially in the early first run. Grandmother ended up sending her copy back, and in mine, way too easy to blow through boss fights. I think the only reason I held onto it for as long as I did was with the hope of redemption through multi-player.

My only friends who really like games a lot are the real competitive types who only play to win. I'm not like that, I just wanna have some fun, so they always trash talk me. It's not fun, so I usually don't play with them.

Two player Sally ROCKS.

Ok, it was actually Lifeforce that my best friend and I used to tear through everyday after class in junior high, but let's not allow some alterations keep me from agreeing with you 8-)

In more recent times, it's been War of the Mosnters. My main WotM partner moved upstate and Ultra V hasn't had a good tag partner since :(

Heh, it's only fun if you trash talk back. It's an art form. Memories of so many fun NBA Street matches...

I always found trash talk... childish. No offense meant, but I just feel it's unnecessary.

My other friends, while not being huge gamers, just play, and whoever wins wins. It's a good time.

No one will play Rock N Roll Racing against me. They seem to think I shouldn't win every single race. Bah!

No one is good enough to play me in Waverace64 or Blue Storm. It's not that they WON'T, just that they can't keep up.

Actually, my best friend has played every single game with me that I needed a partner for with the exception of Secret of Mana and FFVI. Never found a partner for either of those.

Oh, and now I can't get anyone to play Contra:SS with me because it's too fucking hard. But that's ok, because I don't much care for the game anyway.

I'd rather post the only games that I can find a second player for... it's shorter :embarrassed:

Bushido Blade 2
Mega Bomberman
Goldeneye
Guilty Gear XX

...that's about it :(

Little Ninja Bros. for the NES.

I played through this game with my brother as a rental when I was about 13 years old. It was a lot of fun, because the two of us at that age couldn't agree on much.

Many years later, I bought the game used but I couldn't find a second player. I tried to get through the game alone but it's really just not the same. Some of the RPG-engine boss fights are near impossible without a second player.

Just for once I'd like to have a Jack beside my Ryu, fighting against the evil forces of... evil! :D

I'm going to say the entire two-player Odyssey 2 library here. I grew up playing Quest For The Rings, Baseball, Invaders From Hyperspace, what have you, and my mom was always up for some Odyssey 2 duels. Nobody else really seems fascinated by it now, and I miss those games. Same goes for a lot of the Intellivision sports titles and other games - I haven't played those as God intended us to play early Intellivision 2-player titles in years. I miss that. So many good early video gaming memories involve them being a FAMILY EVENT, and it bugs me sometimes that I can't have it back that way. More than any cartridges I'd loaned out and never gotten back, I miss that interaction.

For me it's older (or less-well-known) PC games. Hard to find players for:

Master of Orion 2
Black & White
Alpha Centauri
Heroes of Might & Magic (I or II)
Dungeon Siege
Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc.

I suppose that if I went to planetdungeonsiege.com and posted all the time for that game I could, but I'm really not into that big into those games that they're I want to post on the individual fan sites all the time.

I've wanted a second for Feet of Fury and Match of the Millenium for the NGPC.

Ikaruga (Gamecube) cause they throw away pad after minutes ("it's too hard") BAH

Super Smash Brothers Melee (Gamecube) cause I'm too good :D

Super Bomberman (SNES) : same reason

....and it seems that I'm the only one of our gaming-group who likes/loves side-scrolling beat'em ups.No one wants to team up with me!

Return Fire for 3DO or playstation

It's a great game if both people have simular skills

I can't find anyone I know that has even heard of it

To bad it sucks as a 1 player game
