from the auction...

$5.00 Shipping & Handling fee per item. No combining other auction.
Fee includes preparation of auction, packing department, safe delivery.

Yeah, like he's going to ship each item separately.

I didn't know you could include "preparation of auction" fees in your S&H. Moreover, how can the seller ensure "safe delivery", let alone charge for it? What a turd.

Talk about trying to rip people off. How many people would have noticed that it was per item. This might only be a one item auction but I'm sure he has other items that have 2-3 items in them and you have to pay $5.00 per item? Well I won't be buying from him.

The 2nd page of his feedback has users making comment about the shipping fees. The negatives comment seems to imply the items are shipped seperately.

I agree with the subjest of the thread. I hate crap like this.

Yet it seems to be the majority of what's on eBay anymore these days... Unfortunate.

I don't bash anyone who LISTS the shipping fee's up front. I've been overcharged by $20-$30 before, and have no problem at all with that as long as the total shipping cost is listed in the auction.

It's the people who DON'T list ANY shipping fee that piss me off (I usually won't bid at all if shipping isn't listed)

You are right, but I still find it hard to believe that this seller packages each item separately and mails them separately. I've seen this same scam many of times. Moreover, I stand by my assertion that you cannot charge "auction prep" fees.

Here's the best line in the auction:

Free Shipping if winner picks item up from our Store

So if you go and physically pick the item up at his store, he won't charge you any shipping! How nice of him. It's nice to see such charity

Hey, don't knock it. I buy a lot of local stuff from ebay to avoid shipping fees. However, some sellers are actually charging you for the priveledge of picking items up too. They'll screw you one way or the other.

Now that sounds like something that's against eBay policy, wouldn't you think?

You pay for an item, then have to pay for the priviledge or taking it home? WTF?

Right, at least he is being up front about the shipping fees, even if they are a little high and no combining on shipping.

They've called it a handling fee or a convenience fee. When they've told me that I've politely told them to go and have intercourse with themselves as I had no intention of buying from them.

A couple of months ago I had an ebay seller drop an item off at my house, charge me no fees, and then offer me more items at a great deal when they got there. That was service!
