Dammit, I found two really cheap LaserActive LDs on ebay the other day... waited all week, the desc was so bad I got them for $20 each.
The stupid shipper wants $30 to ship them from CA to MA and I had to talk him down to THAT from $40! WTF!

oh and i thought i got a good email:
I accept cash, personal checks and money orders.
Please note that personal checks are normally held 10
days in the bank before shipment. This is to cut down
on the number of bad checks that I receive.
For customers who require it, I am offering my special
rush shipping service (will ship your item asap and ship it
ahead of other orders) for an additional $2.00. To
offer the speediest service possible, I am also
accepting PayPal payments (along with cash, personal
checks, or money orders) from customers who use this
option. Reply to this e-mail if you need this extra
level of service. I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENT AT MY
CONSOLEACCESSORIE E-MAIL ADDRESS SO DO NOT SEND TO THIS ADDRESS.
Also in the interests of faster shipping for my
customers, I am willing to treat your personal check
the same as a money order for shipping purposes (will
not hold it in the bank 10 days before shipment) for
an additional fee of $1.00. This is to cover against
potential losses from customers who might abuse my
generosity. If you would like to take advantage of
this offer simply add 1 dollar to your original total
and please mention in your letter that you have added
a dollar for faster shipping.
You may insure your order up to $50 for $1.05. If you
desire insurance please add $1.05 to your total and
also mention that you are paying for insurance.
eh whatever.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating. Never, never buy anything without a freight quote. Period.

I would tell him to go light himself on fire. After you swap negs. You could carefully explain yourside with the "Respond to Feedback" option. I don't think it would hurt how people preceive you when checking out your feedback.

No way I would pay $30 for a couple LDs, and he originally wanted $40!
Even if he didn't post the shipping up front, it is against ebay rules to charge extremely high shipping on items. Some sellers do this to avoid FVFs. I would let him know exactly what it does cost, for the various rates, and tell him what you'd be willing to pay for a reasonable service charge on top of those rates. Some people pay for shipping supplies too, he might of bought boxes & bubble wrap for these, but even still not in the neighborhood of $25-30 worth of supplies! I would try and work things out with the seller, and if not, report him to ebay & take the negative if it happens.
