I stated a few months back that i was having trouble playing back-ups on my Duo-R. I've deduced that regular cds will play however. Do i need to have the lazer straightened or wha? and if so, who can do it?

i imagine your CD-R's are degrading, since you say your regular games work great. it may not be a problem with your Duo-R at all. borrow some burns from someone else, or make new ones on sturdy CDR's like Sony brand, before you make hasty descisions like taking a Torx bit screwdriver and soldering iron to your rare-ish Duo R.

Are you playing backups made from the CD? Or did you download them and burn them?

Wasn't there an extra data track that was included in Duo games...

I can't remember the details, I just know you were supposed to burn the Dracula X game I downloaded one way for playing it in an emulator, and another way if you wanted to play it in a console.

umm.... yeah.

I would never risk a laser adjust to play backups! laser adjusts are not a good idea on a working unit, IMO. If it plays originals, it's working.
