The day I've been waiting months for has finally arrived! My local TRU has been sitting on the same 2 copies of Rez for the past year and a half. Even though $50 isn't a bad price for the game, it's still too much for me so I've been waiting for a price drop so I could pick it up. Stopped in today and saw it was down to $24.98 and quickly snagged both of them.

I know most stores haven't carried this game in ages, but TRU is notorious for keeping old titles in stock. If you are looking for a good deal on this game, get your ass down to TRU now and check if they have it!

Just a word of caution.
Paper Mario used to sell for $40.00 complete or New. Then TRU had them for $10.00. Now you can get them New for $16.00 on EBAy.
This will probably be the same thing.

Some Gameeboy color titles are starting to reach a very low price, too. :D

I was thinking the same thing. I even picked up 3 of those Paper Marios myself a couple of months ago. But I thought the big thing with Rez was it had an incredibly low print run (or at least thats what most people say). Paper Mario probably had hundreds of thousands of copies produced and is obviously a much more common game than Rez. I'm sure Rez will drop a little bit in value as a result of this TRU sale, but I doubt it'll drop as much as Paper Mario did.

The difference between Paper Mario & Rez being most stores had tons of PMs in stock, I bought at least a dozen copies from my local TRU, and still didn't clean them out. Rez was selling for more than $50 online just a little while back, so there were hardly any around even when they were still $50 a pop. I've only seen 3 or 4 copies of Rez in the past year vs probably 50+ Paper Marios around various stores.

I'm sure if there are many copies still out there now that they've dropped in price more will pop up on ebay, and the price might go down some, but not like Paper mario did, when 100's & 100's of them suddenly poped up everywhere. They are just not in the same ballpark as far as rarity.

Was just a year or so ago that I bought my copy of Rez at Best Buy for $10 That didn't really hurt the price too much, and I doubt a $24.98 TRU price will hurt it either. ;)

You're probably right. I was just cautioning against running out and buying a lot of copies for just under $30.00 when the price just might drop that low on E-Bay.

Looks like the prices are starting to drop below $50.

BTW, wtf is the Rez vibrator? Does anyone have one of these things?

Thank you, Norkusa. I had to drive halfway across the city, but I found Rez for 24.98. And it was the store's last copy.

The trip was also an unexpectedly nostalgic one. While most of the Toys R Us locations in Dayton have been renovated so that they have all games on display in individual cases, this particular store still used the old method of putting out tickets, which you "buy" and later exchange for the actual game at a security window. It brought back memories of spending my long-hoarded allowance on a slip of paper, ringing the bell at the pickup window several times, and waiting in anticipation of the game. Too bad that I usually bought stuff like Power Blade and Mission Impossible.

This thread should answer any questions about the Trance Vibrator.

I now wish that I had ordered one from Play-Asia.
