It's about $18 solo, or $30 with Sonic packed-in.

Considering I don't like fighters, shoudl I pick this thing up? How tough is it to find games for the system?

Those of you that have them, how do you like it?

I have had my neo pocket since it first came out in the states. This is my favorite hand held to date. If you are not into fighters, thats fine. This machine has the metal slug games, which are fun little platformers. The card fighters clash games are reason enough to get the system. I lost a good bit of time to those demons. Great card game rpg. If you can import there is a cotton game for the side scrolling shmup fan. The Dive alert games are original and fun strategy games. I also recommend the pac man, for some reason the port of pac man on the neo pocket is great, I think it may have to do with the directional stick rather than the d pad, but it controls great. There are also a few good puzzle games and the list goes on. You can find games rather easy on ebay, most are minus box & docs. Some imports are hard to find, but its not too bad.

Eb Games has a few bundles for neo pocket that you may want to check out, go to www.ebgames.com and do a search for it.

Anyway, good luck with your choice.

Take Care all

It's cheap, it has great fighters (pick one), card battles, puzzlers, and action games (metal slug!)

just don't be expecting a lot of RPG's.

the answer is YES GET ONE NOW

OK, I decided to go ahead and order the bundle.

Not to be rude, and to share the wealth (now that I've secured mine, of course ;) ), the bundle is at Amazon. The link I followed is at www.slickdeals.net. You can probably find the package yourself at Amazon, but the slickdeals link will take you right there with no searching necessary, and if you use their link I assume they get some sort of referral credit.

It'll be a great pick up. Make sure that you eventually get Card Fighters Clash...one of the most addictive games I've ever played. Puyo Pop (Puyo Puyo II) is a nice lil puzzler too.

I really need an NGPC. I'd recommend getting SNK vs. Capcom, both Metal Slug games, and Samurai Shodown! 2. Super-deformed fighting and shooting at its best. :D

I'll get in line and say that the NGPC is one fine piece of hardware, I have 3 of them (one Japanese color, US colo and a JP black n' white). Make sure you get/try the following games:

Cardfighter's Clash
Metal Slug 1 & 2
Samurai Showdown 2
Capcom vs. SNK
Pac Man
Baseball Stars
Cotton
Picture Puzzle

If you'd like to "try" some of the games before you plunk down the cash on ebay for them, PM me and I'll give you a nice link ;)

Whats the difference between the SNK and Capcom version of Card Fighter Clash? Just the characters?

The main difference is that in the SNK version you will start out with a deck consisting completely of SNK characters, and most cards that you receive from winning battles will be SNK cards. Once you put a lot of time into the game it sort of balances out (especially if you use trade machines), but I believe that some cards can only be gotten in each specific version (this is vice versa for the Capcom version of the game). Also, I think the boy/girl characters you are given a choice of at the beginning of the game may have different names, although I can't confirm. (You can input your own 6 character names by the way, so you're not stuck with a default option). This is one title I'm considering reviewing for the Amply Reviewed contest, so I better get crack-a-lackin'!

I also recommend the following games for the NGPC:

Neo Turf Masters Golf (really fun when you play with a friend through the link cable - you can heckle each other while you are trying to swing the club!)

Baseball Stars
Neo 21 (Blackjack) - played this along with golf on the plane to CGE2K3
Puzzle Bobble Mini
Shanghai Mini

The system rules, I too have owned one since they were released, it's a shame it didn't get the attention it deserved until now, otherwise they'd still be releasing games for it :-( Out of the few titles that did get released, there is in excellent library of available games, just stay away from the casino titles

One game you really should get (especially if you like classic games) is Ganbare Neopoke-kun. It's sort of a virtual pet parody with 30 minigames. These games illustrates the evolution of videogames, they start out with simple pong clones and then get more and more advanced. Many of the games are parodies of classics such as Galaga, Xevious, Star wars arcade (done in vector graphics of course), Ghosts 'n goblins, Kungfu master, Bomberman, etc. Plus a few normal things like breaking up fights between nude men in a bath house.

The NGPC is definately worth getting. I love mine, but I need more games for it.
