We all have our gaming dreams. Some of us have expensive tastes, either a neo-geo cart or a holy grail Atari 2600 game. What is the most you would spend for a game or system? What would it be? For me, it would probably be to complete my nes collection and get Stadium events...and yeah I would pay 300 to 500 for that stupid cart. :D
THe Odyssey3 console and games. Would be willing to pay thousands for this!!! (If I had that kind of money right now - maybe next year)
Hey, what can I say, I'm nuts.... @_@

At this point in time I woudl say $200. Once I acheive my goal of greatly reducing my debt and buying a house I would be willing to pay a $500

Yeah, oh well.
I'd say the most I'd plop down, nowadays, for a bare system (of any type, and assuming I had the money) would be $300, unless you're talking about something crazy hard to find like a Hi-Saturn Navi unit. I have paid $670 or so for a system before, but I'll be damned if I ever do that again. Closest I've come to that was $350 for my handheld CD-i which came with a bunch of games, or my (still not arrived) Sharp x68K series computer, with many more games than the CD-i, for $570, though after all the games the system is virtually free.

Probably 500 bucks. If I had the money I would spend thousands, preferblly on a Cosmos.

I just paid $475 for Samurai Shodown 5. When I got it, it wouldn't work with my 1 slot. In the meantime, the price drops to $365, then $335. Got my 2 slot today, and the game fuckin rocks. Maybe I shoulda waited until it dropped in the $300 range, but the game is still worth.

O_O And that was on one item!!! What the hell was it? A gold plated Video Life with Bushnells autograph?
The most i would ever spend would be about $400 if it was to complete my NES collection.

I usually try to limit myself to fifty bucks for any game, and sixty for imports. The most I've ever paid for a system was $300, and I'd like to make sure that incident stays a unique one.

youre part way right.
id spend more on certain items if i had it right now.
its a dry period for me, so unless i unload some other collections, i wont be buying anything high dollar for at least another 6-8 months.

the most I have spent has been $310.
I would go $2000 + down the road for an NWC

I would also go for the 'going rate' of a gold NWC down the road

id pay $600 for an adventurevision in box, probably more for the Odyssey 3. I did spend 400 on the M2 dev unit, which I later sold for the same amount. I'd be willing to pay the going rate for a GOld NWC. THen an extra fifty bucks to have it framed.

If I had the money I would probably pay $1000+ for an Intellivision Computer add-on. The most I think I have paid was $500-$600 for Vectrex 3-D Goggles boxed. I would also pay a few hundred for an unreleased Intellivision prototype.

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a cheap skate and don't spend huge amounts on individual items. Maybe I will when I have more money but not right now. Probably the most I've ever spent on one item was £600 ($900) for an Xbox shortly after it first came out, but it did come with 6 games (Halo, Max Payne, Project Gotham Racing, Dead Or Alive 3, Rallisport Challenge, Simpsons Road Rage), an extra controller and a steering wheel. It seemed like a good deal at the time and I suppose it was really.
Since moving to the US, I bought a Gamecube for $100 and an Xbox for $150 but that's about it really. Obviously, I've bought games for them but, as I say, I am rather cheap when it comes to buying gaming items.

The most I have ever spent on a videogame would be Radiant Silvergun for 150 euro, which is about 180 USD.
The biggest amount I have spent in one buy (games only, not consoles) is 200 euro (thats about 235-240 USD). That was Shining Force 3 sc2 and Premium Disc, Perfect Dark N64 sealed and Alien Front Online complete.
