Hey gang!

The Digital Press Mystery Sound contest (http://www.digitpress.com/mystery/) is nearing an end! If you haven't clicked, listened, and made a guess yet, you'll want to do it quickly! This month's prize is Dragon's Lair 3D: Return to the Lair for PC Windows.

Like free stuff? Think you can ID a game just from a sound effect of theme? Prove it. :D Good luck!

When you post the past sound and solution, could you also post the sound link? That way I can see that it's burger time and listen again to see if I remember?

Anyway, that's a good idea. I'll see about keeping the *old* sound up-and-posted next to the answer when I post a *new* sound for the new contest.

STEVE LONGO is the winner of this month's Mystery Sound Contest with his correct guess of "Crazy Climber arcade game - climber falling to his death." His entry was one of 20 correct ones, and for his efforts he will receive "Dragon's Lair 3D: Return to the Lair" for Windows! Congrats Steve!

It may take a few days before I have the next contest posted, but will announce when it's up and running. Joe, we need to talk prizes - both for the next Sound contest and for "you know."

did you have to describe what the sound was? All I put was "Crazy Climber - Japanese version" :(

Nope. All I ever need is the name of the game. After the game ends, I usually ID *what* the sound was for folks who may never have played the game before (death theme, opening music, trampolene bounce, etc.)

I never require anything more than the name of the game for a correct entry. Which yours was. :)
