so, i was moving around the tv stand in here, getting some cords in order... and all of a sudden, my 27 inch, 60 pound tv decides to slide right off the goddamn tv stand, and onto my playstation, screen first! it made possibly the most horerdenous sound i have ever heard. the top plastic on my tv is cracked, the top corner is now purple whenever it's on... frankly, i can't believe the screen suffered such a blow so relatively unscathed.
and the playstation is toast. it boots no prob, and goes to menu screen, because it absolutely refuses to spin a disk. oh well... guess it's time to invest in the smaller model psone. if anyone wants this thing to see if they can try to fix it, i'll send it to you for the price of shipping. PM me if you want it. like i said, all that seems to be the matter with it is that it won't spin.
anyone else have any interesting stories of accidentily destroying any of their systems? let's hear it.
EDIT: i forgot to mention that the case has some scuffs on it due to the tv falling on it

Mine weighs 103 O_O
Leave your TV off for 30 minutes.
One of your guns got knocked out of alignment, and they may reset themselves getting rid of that purple.

my grandpa kicked my NES once I was a young kid playing too much
It flew through the room, crashed onto wall, broke into 2 pieces and one joypad hit my head. :sob:

argh...those ninty-hardwares are immortal or something

Had a party at my house and someone spilled beer on the PSX. It died of liver failure.

I watched a friend throw his old NES and Intellivision into a bonfire once. It made me sad...

Not a system, but the same thing happened to my 32" Sony when I first bought it (long ago) fell off the stand smack on it's screen THE WEEK I BROUGHT IT HOME. Cracked the plastic in the upper left corner, but worked fine, recently that purple blob has appeared in the upper left corner where the plastic cracked.
Spooky.
