I've initiated a new feedback grading system on 4 key points that I think sellers should be held accountable for and hopefully add more value to their feedback and to others looking at a sellers feedback.
Example:
Praise:
Item Description: A+ | Packaging: A+ | Communication: A+ | Shipping: B
Item Description: Does the item match the description and pictures?
Packaging: Was the item packaged well?
Communication: Did the seller answer emails or send confimation of payment and shipping or other needed communication?
Shipping: Was the item shipped in a timely manor (holidays and weekends and geographic location always considered here) and was the shipping cost reasonable?
Grades are based on the good ole american education system
A = Superior
B = Above Average
C = Average
D = Below Aaverage
F = Failed
And I think this system works whether you're a power seller or a casual seller and everything in between.
I'm sure some of you sellers could come up with a similar system for buyers. To hold us accountable for paying in a timely manor, communicating, being easy/difficult to deal with and possibly one or two other points that are important to sellers.
Thoughts?

I like the idea but how do the individual ratings effect the actual feedback that you leave the seller? For instance, if the item arrived packaged well and as described but he charged a lot for shipping and never responded to your emails how could you give him anything other than a positive since the package arrived as described?
Ultimately I don't think that too many people really care when you write in your feedback description as long as they get their positive

That's a good question and the rating might look something like this right?
Praise:
Item Description: A | Packaging: A | Communication: C | Shipping: D
or
Neutral:
Item Description: A | Packaging: A | Communication: D | Shipping: D
For many buyers, the main concern here is that we are pleased with our purchased item so the first two key points are very important. But if you're viewing this particular rating as a buyer you may want to investigate the seller’s feedback further to see if this represents a pattern of maybe it's just my poor experience. My thought is that you're not going to please 100% of the people a 100% of the time so 1 or 2 or 3 responses like this wouldn't raise a red flag to most buyers.
Secondly by rating this way I am able to break down the purchase experience and not have to leave a nasty or lengthy feedback how the shipping was over priced but the item was aces OR fear a retaliatory feedback response.
If more people rated like this OR eBay implemented a rating system like this in the feedback section then I would hope that this sends a message to sellers that they are accountable for these key points and this would raise the buying and selling experience to a higher standard than the "Negative," "Neutral," or "Positive" rating system that is currently in place.
If you’re buying a $10 item then this type of rating isn’t going to matter to you but if you’re planning on spending $100 bucks on an item that is key to your collection then my rating system might be especially useful to you on deciding whether or not to buy from a seller.

Only problem is big sellers. If you leave a feedback for me, it's on the 10th page by the end of 1 week. (Roughly 200 feedback per week)
As long as it's positive, and off the first page, most people won't ever see or read it.
