Don't know if this would be appropriate for here or for Off-Topic, but I have an idea for another forum, and that would be the Game Strategy forum. Basically, it's where people ask for help about anything in any game, no matter how little or specific the question is. Right now, I want to know, how do you play as the bosses (Dr. Doom and Thanos) in the arcade version of Marvel Super Heroes? I can't get the codes to work. Do I have to input them super-fast or something?

Let me know what everyone thinks about my little idea. :)

BTW, I really do want to know how to play as Dr. Doom and Thanos. :help:

On the one hand I like the idea, but I think the board is approaching the point of having too many forums already, and becoming too fragmented. I think the types of discussions you anticipate could thrive in the Video Games forum.

I like the concept, but you could always go to GameFAQ's.

Not sure on the arcade version, but here's PSone codes. (may or may not work)

Beat the game once, then enter the codes.

Dr. Doom- Down, Down, continue to hold down, on the second press; wait three seconds, then press and continue to hold x, then o, then r1 (you should still be holding down+x+o when you press r1

Thanos- Up, Up continue holding up on 2nd press; wait 3 seconds, then press and hold L1, then triangle, then square, Still hold the others when you press square.

I think you just press the appropriate buttons in arcade. I.E. if x is low kick then press low kick, etc.

Yeah, nice idea, but there are so many sources for that type of stuff....and you still have the people who actually buy strategy guides for $14.99...

Not liking that idea. It just sounds dumb considering you can get strategy guides from sites like IGN and what not. I would ratehr have a forum for promotionals. To show off what you got at your last intense dumpster dive. SOunds dumb but I tihnk it would be cool.

Yeah, I don't think we'll be adding any new forums anytime soon. That's what the forum du jour is for.

Yeah, I actually even agree with Steve over my own idea. In retrospect, we already do have a lot of forums. Adding one more will most likely confuse new members. I give this message to myself:

REQUEST DENIED. :P

Though, I can't blame myself for trying. Twas worth a shot, but the Video Game forum already supports specific VG help. I like Marty's idea, though. I guess I just wanted to know about those codes in MSH. BTW, thanks, BF, but there are different codes for the arcade version. I'm trying to perform those, but they don't work. I'm still looking for help. :)

There's no such thing as a "dumb idea". Dumb is having an idea and then not sharing it. Be prepared for ideas to be declined or deferred, but always... ALWAYS state them.

This site and most of everything we've ever done is based on ideas like that.
