6.

Reviewing a game on every platform it exists on is a big goal. I think for the most part, people looking for reviews are looking for a specific game on a specific system. It was interesting to read, but a bit too much information.

Wow. Too many abbreviations, too much info. I felt bogged down and lost. Valiant effort, but it gets the stamp of 5/10 from me.

Was this written for "The Many Faces Of..." segment of Retrogaming Times (http://tomheroes.com/Video%20Games%20FS/Retrotimes/retrogam.htm)? If it was, it accomplishes the goals of the column well, but as a review it's too unfocused.

I'll rate it a 7. It was very informative, but I had a lot of trouble reading to the end. If it weren't for this contest, I wouldn't have felt obliged to read it thoroughly and would have given up somewhere in the middle. It lacks a unifying theme. Perhaps just focusing on one particular port would have been better. Excellent comparison info for the die-hard Congo Bong fan though.

7 for sure very Informitive and good presention but a few silght flaws

-a obivous rip off of the many faces of collums on retrogaming times
-To be a cross Platform review you will need the IBM-PC version of the game

other than that good job.

This is something, all right, but perhaps not a quality review. I would be content just to know how one version plays (how about the arcade version?), and if it's really any fun.

Way too much information, which I suppose can be expected from a multi-system review. I like the beginning information about the story and the similarities is ok. But after that the information is too much of not enough. The descriptions are short and its tough to really be interested.

The review is VERY informative. Maybe too informative. Did I say that? O_O While appreciate the idea of covering multiple versions of the game, I'd like a review to cover just one version. However it does read easy and contains some very good screen grabs. It's just too extensive for me.

Is this a "Many Faces Of" from Retrogaming Times? OK, so we know how the ports stack up, but this tells us nothing about Congo Bongo the game itself aside from a brief summary. Is the game good? You don't know from reading this. This really isn't a review of the game as it is a comparison of the ports. It tells a lot about the different versions, but isn't really a review of the game. It's good for what it is, but what it is isn't what this contest is about.

Score: 5

I'll give this a 6/10.

As a cross-platform comparison project this would get an 8/10 but as a game review, I'm taking a whole bunch of points off simply because it's not doing a good job at drawing a reader in to the gameplay, the things that made Congo Bongo a game WORTH porting to so many platforms back in the day. Very informative, just not very entertaining.
