I saw this game on eBay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1383903418&ssPageName=ADME:B:BN:US:1 and couldn't resist bidding on it for $5.50. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks,

I think Captain Sachen, as I like to call him (theRedeye), said it's probably the legend of Kage, or possibly the sequel.

"Legend of Kage had a sequel?"

Sure did - Demon Sword, unless I'm entirely off my rocker this morning. It isn't nearly as enjoyable as Legend of Kage, though...

Scarily, Kage is actually one of my favorite NES games. That music is so infectious. I hum it to myself sometimes when I'm jumping from tree to tree in the backyard.

The game described in the first post arrived and I'm pleasently surprised by the quality of it. It's probably a pirate of something, but it isn't a game that I've played before. Here's a description:

The title screen says Kage with a manufacturer of Natsume, copyright 1990

Graphics are very good for the NES, it has rain, big rotating wheel platforms, etc... music is good too.

Gameplay is that you're a little ninja dude and start out on a ship. Movement is nothing like the first Legend of Kage, this is more of a platformer. I'd best describe it as a cross between Strider and Bionic Commando. You start out with a sword but can acquire many weapons and upgrades. One of the upgrades gives you Bionic Commando like extension capabilities. Some of the weapons include throwing knives, and stars.

There are boss enemies every so often and the regular enemies are quite varied. Some just stand stationary and try to knife you, others try to push you off ledges, and other have guns.

All in all it's a fun game.
