7/10 (Good)

The parts about the art and sound are fantastic. I got an incredible sense for those parts of the game reading this review.

It's too bad that other parts of the review (for example, talking about the characters' marketability and begging for a sequel) make this feel somewhat like a fan letter to Sony. As well, it would have been nice to hear about the reduced focus on 3D exploration in this game.

I don't have a lot of experience with 3D platformers, so I could have used more details about the gameplay and play control. Just a couple sentences would have been enough. In general, I just didn't get a good sense of how the game plays. But I agree the parts about the audiovisuals are great -- those parts alone are enough to make me want to check the game out. I almost gave this review a 6 considering what it leaves out, but what it has is good enough to bump it up a point.

I thought this was really good. I'm willing to overlook the de-emphasis on gameplay descriptiveness considering his audience (I think it's safe to assume most of us have an idea what a 3D platformer is going to play like). 8/10.

8 of 10

a lot of detail was put into this review.

7.

As mentioned above, I thought the writing and descriptions were good, but some of the basics were missing, and there were some problems with the "voice".

The grammar is a bit off at times, and aside from that the review is still lacking. (Is there a lot of difficult jumping? Is there a lot of difficult fighting? How are these elements handled? "hop 'n' bop" is not very descriptive on its own.) But aside from that, the review is well-structured and reasonably thorough.

A very good review, with a fair amount of information about each aspect of the game. I would have liked to see a little bit more about the gameplay.

I like reviews this. It's very informative and reads along very well. The aspects of the game are discussed nicely. There are a few things missing like more elaboration in a few areas, but the review is good and the accompanying screenshots are more than welcome.

Good detail about the game, but we're missing why this game is good. Starts out proclaiming this game as fun, but then doesn't really give me a feel for why it's fun. There's a lot about what happens and how you play, but not much opinion on things other than the game as a whole is fun.

This person could use an editor as there's quite a bit of tightening up that can be done here. The language is less formal, and topics don't flow as naturally as they should.

I'll give this one a 7/10.

Well written review that covers the aesthetics of the game really well, but not the mechanics. I don't think this is terribly important, most people "get" these 3D platformers but you have to assume you're writing to a wide audience of people, some of whom do NOT "get it". Well done otherwise!
