6/10 (Pretty Good)
This really was a groundbreaker, and I'm glad to see this game get a review here.
I enjoyed the first few paragraphs and the last couple, but found everything in-between real tedious to slog through. It felt like the reviewer was just summarizing a checklist of points h/she made about the game, and didn't feel like that part of the review meshed with the overall theme of Starflight feeling more like a novel than your traditional space adventure game.

8. It covered EVERYTHING. However, it covered everythingin excruciating detail. Great coverage, but really, too much! It's hard to boil that game down any further, I know, but it should be trimmed a bit more!

Very good with no flaws in it at all.

It is rather difficult to find something wrong with this review. If anything, it might have been nice to compare it briefly to another game or describe some of its legacy.
Still, I have to say it's a little tough to get a real "feel" for the game from this review alone.

8.
Sometimes when we love something too much, it's hard to limit the amount of information. I could tell the author really did play and like this game, but some of it seemed more like a tribute to the game an a review, which should be a brief overview, a description of the game, and most importantly, let me know if I'm going to like it. This is nitpicking on an otherwise really well written review.

Impressive, though it includes a little too much detail. It's all conveyed in a fairly interesting way, yet the many examinations of the game tend to overwhelm.
The bulk of the review also lacks enthusiasm, odd considering the author's introductory confession of a slavish love for the game. Perhaps those fervent fanboy tendencies were restrained a little too much; it's okay to let your inner geek out now and then.

I really do enjoy a review when the writer makes me interested in the game. Anyone can put up facts and information, but to be able to convey feelings at the same time is important. The reviewer did a good job at covering the aspects of the game and I didn't find the review distracting one bit.

This review isn't bad. It rambles a bit, but the writer warned us that he's a fan boy. The last paragraph is what I was waiting for. Thanks for telling me why this is a good game instead of just telling me about the game. With some editing, this would be a contender. Still, it's one of the better ones I've read in this contest.

A superfantastic 10/10 for this one!
This review does what many others do not (and which I personally enjoy in reading them) by establishing a personal touch and point of view right from the beginning. Big points for that. It also covers all of the bases and stays true to its charter of being a "gushing" review, though it never really comes off as "fanboyish" at all, perhaps because facts are stated to support the reviewer's respect for the game.
This is one of my favorites, and is probably the best review of this game ever written. That's quite an accomplishment for a fan of the game.
