Hello :) A friend of mine, who is from Mexico, brought a bunch of cool Famicom pirate stuff stateside recently. He has an all-plastic Famicom (flimsy, but works great), and about 5 pirate cartridges. 1 is a '9999999-in-1', another is about 50-in-1 (outlandish claims of course), two are fighting games, one is called MARIO FAMILY and has the following:
Mario 1 US w/ Mario 2 graphics 'enhancements'
Mario 2 US and JP Versions
Mario 3 US
Mario Bros. (arcade)
and some sprite hacked titles made to look like Mario games. There are changes to the graphics, title screens, gameplay, music, etc. Mario 2 US is sped up .. apparently the pirates thought it was too slow. I kind of agree. There's some really interesting stuff here.
So, I was wondering if there is anyone on this forum who might be willing to let me mail them the cartridges, they could dump them and e-mail the ROMs to me, and send them back? I'd be glad to pay for the service / shipping, of course. They'll fit in a simple padded envelope, so it shouldn't be much to ship at all. Maybe $1-$2.
I need the ROMs to provide, along with PCB / label scans, on my web site, Epic Gaming's pirate section. I've not found these on the net anywhere and I'm sure they'd be excellent additions to everyone's NES collections, maybe eventually the GoodNES Set.
Thanks. :)
