I saw one at a goodwill a few months ago, and i decided not to shell out 2.99 for an nes controller which i had plenty of. now i know what they are, and should i have passed it up?

They're definitely harder to find than any regular NES controller, but they're not what I'd consider rare.

I would have paid $2.99 for one, even though I have 2 myself. They're light years ahead of the regular NES controllers as far as comfort goes.

Those square pointed edges dug many a pit into my palms.

They're as rare as the top loader... which isn't that rare. $3 is a good price, and how much I got mine for (right at the Funcostop merge). I still prefer the original ones tho. Grab for good tradebait regardless.

I've bought a couple for 4.99, they are a rare NES accessory for sure (not as rare as a ROB but up there.) I've seen only 1 sense xmas. IMHO any controller in great condition is worth $5.

I definitely would have purchased that one.

Unless it was covered in the patented Goodwill Tarslime(TM);. Then, even for $3 I would have passed on it.

I would deffinatly have to say i woulda bought it for 2.99, but i would deffinatly have to say it is forsure not as rare as the toploader itself.
You can still order these controllers brand new straight from Nintendo of America on there website (15.99 or something along those lines), so thats makes them a little bit more common:P
