Atari joystick on a Coleco tabletop

This may be one of my false memories from the golden age of gaming, but I could swear that some magazine printed instructions for connecting a VCS joystick to a Coleco tabletop. Does anyone else remember this? Anyone have a link to the article, or the instructions?

I can at least confirm that you're not imagining the article. I think it was in an early Electronic Games, but I'm not sure what issue, nor if it's online (but give Google a try).
