I want to pick up some PAL games for Megadrive/Genesis. I have 4 or 5 Genesis systems but none are modded. Can anyone recommend a good solution to my problem? IS there a good convertor out there that will allow PAL games to run well on NTSC televisions?? PLease tell!!! THanks, I love you all!!

I know PAL Comix Zone doesn't work on a Genesis, but that's due to a chip lockout (even says so on the screen). Golden Axe and Revenge of Shinobi work just fine, though...so it really depends on what PAL games you're talking about.

There's a convertor that plays pretty much all PAL MD games on the US Genesis. It's called the Mega Key. Check the import forum for more info: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=27
I have one spare Mega Key coming available...but they're NOT cheap! :D

The BEST way is with a double-switch mod, which is pretty easy as far as console mods go, and will play every Genesis/Megadrive game without exception.
It's 4 wires soldered on to 4 nice large pads, linked to two switches. There's a very detailed pdf guide at Gamefaqs (here (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/game/22663.htm)).
If you've got 4 or 5 systems, it's worth trying even if you're no electronics expert. I've killed a couple of SNES's before trying to mod them, but I managed this one first timewith no problems, and it's worked perfectly for a year or so now.
