what if i got neogeo MVS shockboxes made?

would i be pissing someone off? i bought a bunch of them, love them. Then i asked my plastics guy, he says, no problem if you buy 1000 min. Free die if i run at least 4000 in 2 years. and they would pretty much cheaper that that other guys.

Go to neo-geo.com, go to their forums, and ask a forum member by the name of BIG BEAR. He was the 'originator', if you will, of the Shock Boxes. Ask him if he cares if someone else makes a production run. I don't know how he'll reply, but he'd be the one to ask.


Lemme know how much you're selling them for too if you get them going. Can't have too many shock boxes!

I would be interested in getting some based on the price. Those eBay auctions for them are just way too much for me to afford right now. If you do get them made and its a decent price, let me know, I'll buy a few.

Hell yes you should make more AES wannabe boxes, from what I can tell demand for these things is constantly far and away exceeding production.

yeah i looking into that, the production could be way higher and being smaller the box should be way cheaper. need to make a more uniform cart box for the many diff styles. i don't know, let me get this other thing a ride first.

I'll be waiting, I should be good for at least 100. (for the nes) To finally get a protective casing that holds the cart snug and protect the label at the same time would be a dream.

I spoke to Big Bear,he is the original creator of these by my knowledge.and a friend...

He said..

I don't have a problem with this whatsoever. I have already completed my last run and when I run out of the ones I have,that is it.

I generally know the ups and down of making these just by speaking with Big Bear..

But I would email Big Bear to speak with him in person.
You may want to speak to him since he's been doing this for awhile before you take this on.

oh he's a nice guy, no question. very fast and professional on getting those out, and i love them. I would for sure wait until he is out. But i really want to see the samples i should be getting in a week or 2 before i say anything else really.....he's actually going to do a bunch of stuff for me at work, that i kinda need first.

but once he has MVS down pat. and since it looks like i have time, maybe i'll give him a shot at NES games. give him one of each cartridge style. This is all dependent on x-mas bonus capital.

If this guy works anything like he is now for me, and wharehouses the product, all is good!

Interesting, must of missed this thread the first time round. I would be interested in some as well maybe in the near future. I've still got some unused ones sitting around right now, but eventually they will be used up, so yes add me to the list if your ever have some made up!

Since I've never actually seen a MVS cart, would these fit AES carts as well? I need about 6 and on E-bay they go for a ton.
