This guys games are cheap BIN so I thought i would check it out. Well, sure the games are cheap, but he says that he wont combine shipping and that shipping is 4.50. but then he goes on to say that if you dont type in the item number with payment then he could take up to 2 months to process or may never ship at all. also, he says that insurance is manditory and that it is not usps, but 1.05 for his own. so his real shipping price is 5.55 and he is really just getting 1.05 for doing nothing. this type of seller should be banned from ebay. and im sure that if you bought more than 1 and paid shipping seperately he would just ship them in the same box.

LMAO....I just e-mailed him saying if he combine shipped them Id buy 75% of all his auctions....wonder what the response will be. Hope he gets mad like the time the guy did when I questioned his 80.00 shipping on 6 PS2 games.

That was a good night, he blocked like 4 of my e-mail addresses.

It is almost like this guy doesn't want to make money. If he combined shipping I would have bought some off of him, but not at his ridiculous prices.
Oh well.

Oh, he wants to make money alright....off of shipping alone.

Jeez what a loser.

The excessive shipping rates and bogus insurance is a way for him to avoid ebay's FAV fees. Why would anyone insure an item for $1.05 when it only cost $0.50????

I am surprised no one has even mentioned the fact that he requires 3 weeks for checks to clear.

I am tempted to buy that item for $0.50 and give him grief over insurance, requiring that he provide me with a receipt as proof of payment to a valid licensed insurer within his state, and if he failed to do so, threaten to report him to his state's Insurance Commissioner for fraud. Furthermore, I'd send him a check, and email him every day asking if it cleared yet.

What a turd.

no, what you need to do is buy it, and leave him alone until you get it with no insurance...then wait a week, e-mail him stating you havent recieved it yet. It was insured wasnt it? so this should be no problem!

That'll get him.

Um, the package I just took to USPS was $1.30 to insure...

Read his auction carefully. Nowhere does he state that the insurance is provided by the shipping company. He clearly states that it is not USPS insurance. The amount he uses for insurance is totally random. I've emailed this guy about it before and he stated that the insurance was provided by himself!! Insured by Joe Blow Insurance.

Yea we know that.
Someone had mentioned though that insurance at the post office costs $.50 and we were clarifying that it is $1.30 minimum.

I guess I should have worded my original statement better. That's the problem using pronouns, argh!

The point I was trying to make was why would anyone would pay $1.05 to insure an item that only cost them $0.50. See the orginal posting with the link. The game only costs $0.50. but he wants $1.05 to insure it. I would be better off not insuring and taking the $0.50 risk myself, rather than paying him over twice its value to insure it.

I think we should all complain against him with ebay!!! This is so excessive, and im tired of sellers who always try to rip me off with shipping.....

Once, a seller from ebay wanted to charge me 14 US to ship a god damn genesis game!!! :S

ebay won't take action against auction that have unrealistic shipping fees. They claim that the seller is allowed to quote whatever shipping and handling that they feel is fair. Believe me, I've already tried.

OH! Duh, I see ;) Anyhow, people do it. When I used to sell animal crossing cards, people used to request insurance for a single $1.50 card, go figure...it takes all kinds I suppose
