A while back I got a CIB Sagaia for the Genesis and upon inspection I noticed these entries in the Scorebook section of the manual.

08/06/92
Jim Holtz
5,620,400

03/24/93
Jim R Holtz
6,260,860

03/22/96
Jim R Holtz
6,661,020

Jim R Holtz you are a ROCK STAR!
Those are impresive scores for this game and the dates indicate that this dude owned and played the game for a LOOONG time!

I think it adds an interesting history to the game too.

If any of you know this guy tell him I got his Sagaia! :P

Have any of you found interesting stuff written in your used game manuals

So far I've just found some kids' scores scribbled in the back of Shinobi and Golden Axe (both Master System). I think my Sagaia (Master System, Europe) had a "clean" manual.

I was introduced to something that I saw only a few times, but you should check out your games to see.

Back in the day when CD Games came in the standard black insert trays, the inside back of the bottom insert was blank. When I bought my Dracula X off off John....Olson(?) way back in the day, he told me the game was "sharked". After seeing my blank stare, he removed the tray to the show the inside insert. Neatly printed in the corner, out of sight from the tray's center hole, was a list of people that had previously owned the game. I recall correctly, it was Japan Video Games, someone else, and then John. I have seen two other times of this occuring, always with games that had the black tray.

It's usually not possible with the see-through cases, but to a degree you could still do it with the inside of the dvd inserts. I did it just for the hell of it a few months back on the insert of a generic blue labelled PSX game at my store. The game has long since been sold, so if you've bought a disc only game from the Chicago Ridge EB Games, check the insert, you may find a hidden message from me thanking you for buying the game. :)
