Ok, I can beat every Contra game ever realeased to the market :D with the exception of 2 :( , Contra Hard Corps (Genesis) and Contra Force (NES). I can find no working codes on any website for either of these. These are the only 2 that I've ever even needed codes for (Well, the 30 guy code for the original was helpful back when I was 8). I'll even take Game Genie codes for the Genesis version. Help, I'm getting ticked off! :mad:

Try out this code for 70 lives: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/code/6315.html Otherwise just play it in an emu and enable some cheats (like infinite lives). Quite honestly that's the ONLY way I could beat Contra Hard Corps.. because that game is f**kin NUTS! :shock: Especially at the end with those crazy bosses. There's no way anyone can finish off that game w/ 3 lives and if someone can, they are my new gaming gods. :P
Aside from that, the only other thing I can think of would be to play the import version which is supposedly easier since you can take up to 3 hits(?) before dying, amongst other differences etc.
It's not impossible to beat the US version of CHC on one life. There are people over at the-nextlevel.com that can do it.
(I've done it on one credit, but not one life.)

NE146: That was one of the codes I was trying. It doesn't work, unless I'm doing it at the wrong screen. I'm assuming "the main screen" is the title screen, but no matter what I do, I get nothing. I've actually seen that code a few times, but to no avail. I don't use emulators.....I like the original stuff :wink:

That code for Contra Hard Corps is meant for the Japanese version, I think. I don't think there are any codes for US version. The game is hard but its all about memorizing patterns. It's easiest using Browny, with his small size, double jump and unique homing weapons.
Contra Force also has no codes. There is a trick for mulitple mid-air jumps though. Jump and then pause the game. It'll take you to that menu obviously. Unpause it and hit the jump button again. Repeat as necessary. This game isn't that hard. Just have to use the right guys for the right situations. Don't call out that CPU assist. Once the 5 secs are up he'll vanish along with any power ups you collected for that character, if you collected any for him. And obviously keep an eye on your lives. Once your down to your last one switch to another guy who has more and repeat till you can't no more.
Hmm, didn't know that jump trick.
Here's the secret I used to conquer it. Get the ability that makes you invincible while jumping. Then just hold down A. If I remember correctly, you will jump repeatedly so long as the button is held down, rendering you virtually invincible.
