The CD-I pickup: first rate! The 3DO pickup: fab, simply FAB. The "I Want My Mommy" pickup... don't downplay that one, it's not an easy game to find, let alone for under $1!

Overall rating: A+!

Enjoy your new cheap goodies!

I'd hit that. That's what I call a productive bit of thrifting! Wish I could pull off such a feat around here!

Seriously! Cleveland is a raging hell hole for thrifty collectors. I never see a damn thing in the thrifts here, and the only non-corporate stores belong to Buyatari, and, considering he KNOWS what a game should be priced, I'm not going to find any crazy deals there. :D

Yeah, I invited a fellow forum member down here to check out the local thrifting, as I hadn't been in quite a while. To say the very least, it was...sorely disappointing. OK, I scored a C64 with all the hookups and a Koala Pad for $15, all working, but that was just about it. The thrifting scene here is dead, and the only hope for a real score is the yard sale scene - and even then, there's not a lot more hope. :o I'd be more than happy to run into this kind of score. A while back I thought I'd lucked out picking up a couple of very rare 2600 carts at a yard sale - turns out they were, like nearly everything else at that sale, water damaged. Ah well, ya pays your money, ya takes your chances.

Aero the Acrobat for SNES for $2.99?

Damn, I would get that. I loved that game. Last time I was at Gamestop, it was like $7.99 or something.

I'd kill for that kind of luck, PDF. I literally have never seen a single game at the salvation army or goodwill stores we have around here.

The Video Game Cavern <---- This at the Jockey Lot flea market?

That place was HUGE! Not the VGC, but the Jockey Lot. I went up there about a year and a half ago. I bought some Atari/Coleco games from Video Game Cavern. They had bags and small flyers with their name & a dragon on it? I think I know where you're talking about. :)

Very nice finds!!

Yes, that is the same Video Game Cavern that moves pretty much the whole store to the Anderson flea market every weekend. Also, Cmosfm, I shit you not, I eyed that Atari "I Want My Mommy" JUST YESTERDAY. I was in the Video Game Cavern picking up a sealed copy of Golgo 13 (NES) for fellow DPer petewhitley. I didn't know rarity on it though since I'm not into Atari really. Nice finds!

Also, it just feels weird to have people talking about the same haunts I hit pretty regularly! I guess I'm used to you guys with your NECG and all that jazz, whereas I feel neglected in SC as far as gaming groups and such. It's an idea though....
