Well I placed a bid on a playstation system, controller, and rf adapter. Playstation powers up, but none of the controller ports work. I used 4 different controllers on this item and no dice. After further inspection the controller was listed as a field destroy, and I believe the console was as well as there was a sticker removed from it too. Field destroy is what stores use when an item doesn't work, and is to be destroyed, so either the seller got it out of the dumpster or he works at a store and took it. Either way I want my money back!
contacted him and paypal. He has a nice little thing on the auction no refund. Well thats what he thinks:)
I only paid 14 shipped. Its not the money its the fact that I was misled ya know. What do you guys think?

Now if he said "Untested, No refunds" You're screwed.
But just "No Refunds"? I think you're entitled to a refund for a damaged product.

Depending on what model playstation, you might be able to fix it with a different set of controller ports installed, if that's all thats wrong with it. I am pretty sure you can disconnect the ports and replace them off a different PS. (It's been a while since I had to fix a PS so I may be wrong) I know that doesn't help get your money back, but maybe you can get it working at least.

Well positive news on this, I got a hold of paypal, and the seller and next day got the money back, I could have replaced the controller ports but that would have negated any deal I got:)
Anyways seller apologized claims she sells items for friends blah blah blah, I told her she needs to check em from now on.
But on a positive note, I took the stuff 7 old psx games I had (nothing good believe me lol) starfox 64, evolution for dreamcast, blink and tetris worlds for xbox, and got a new xbox for 99 (with the clone wars, tetris bundle). Had one before but the drive went bad and I was to lazy to send it in to be fixed and sold it on ebay for 95. 95 for a broken xbox... wow
Anyways thanks guys, I would have put links to the auction but it was late, and everything was resolved:)

I'm glad it all worked out. 8-)
And $95 for a broken XBOX is crazy, but it seems as though you can get $75-$95 for them all day long.
Either a lot of people need parts or they think they can refurbish them and re-sell . I don't see how this would work $80.00 + shipping + parts + time = Don't Make Jack Squat. LOL

Mainly because with a little time and effort you can make a serious entertainment hub with an xbox. Mod chip plus bigger hard drive equals, divx, mp3, vcd, emulation etc. no need for drive. I just don't have time to mess with that right now

But wouldn't you rather start with a new one with a Samsung drive and Guranteed to work. Than hoping you can fix a problem on an old one ?
