Really, a what is your favorite thing about the DP forums question.

Mine: the Avatars. You guys have some sweet avatars. I like them that much.

Happy Thankslandstealing!

I've made quite a few really good friends here. That's what really makes this place for me.

Enjoying the conversations and the wonderful people here. It is nice to see so many people who understand my mania. I post at a handful of places on the net, but there is no place I would rather browse than here. It is my favorite because of all the great people and interesting topics.

I like that the mods are firm, but very fair. It makes a huge difference having great people as mods who understand what moderating means and do it so well.

the fact that when somebody posts something, it's either true or somebody comes smashing in on their parade. it's a really nice database of quite a wealth of info. it requires lots of reading.....and side jokes.....and the occasional gripe. but that's what makes it that much more absorbable. if there aren't new posts, read through some old ones. i'm sure you missed.....or forgot something. there's still no way to know everything about games but this is a fine start. and man, theres tons more things, the deals, the people, and as i'll remind you again.....some of the weirdest jokes in the world. I won't mention names but their DP screen names are jonjandran and chunky. I will never fully understand the logic behind their humor.....but i laugh :D

O ya.....major boredom killer!!

I would have to say that I am the most thankful that the DP forums are the exact opposite of the gameFAQS forums. I enjoy not seeing hundreds upon hundreds of flamer threads entitled "GaMe CuBe BloWs! PS2 RoCkS WooT!@!!!".
As mentioned above, I enjoy that fact that I can trust what I read on these boards. If someone mentions something inccorect, it will be pointed out. That luxury is non-existant on other boards. I also always make sure to preruse the buying and selling forum first before I look anywhere else. I have walked away with some fine deals. Non of this could have been accomplished through the reeking stench that plagues forums like gameFAQS.

Also, for as much as I look through these boards, I hardly ever post. I have been a member of this forum since it moved, I check up on the boards at least once a day, and yet my post count is barley over 200. I am technically a lurker, but I still feel like I know everybody and they know me to an extent. I just choose not to post unless I have something really worth saying. The 'at home' feeling that a lurker can get from such a prestigious board can only be a sign of its true excellence. Congrats to Joe and the whole DP crew!Ya have made something truely grand, and I am thankful!

I'm thankful that these aren't the GameFAQs message boards! BURN! LOL ROFL LOL

Seriously, you guys are too nice... most of you, anyway. I can learn something new about video games every day on this board, and I often do. I feel right at home here. :)

We're thankful this isn't like GameFAQs borads either!

Seriously, I'm thankful for the friends and trades I've made here and finding a place to share video gaming stories with others.

Intelligent posters, no flaming or idiots thinking its "cool" to talk like a 6th grader by saying "w00t" or using that made up "1337" stuff, and that theres a forum like this where all collectors and gamers can come and post in topics that are actually worth reading.

That and the "Yet More eBay Insanity" forum, I love that place!

There's almost always a new post. Thes boards are so active and I can post something about the Neo Geo Pocket and not get asked what one is. Oh, and I'm thankful that there aren't the IGN boards just as much as other people are glad this isn't Gamefaqs.

never been to the IGN boards, but I have my games listed on there (see sig) and they piss me off because I have about 25-30 games I need on there lists but everytime I e-mail them about it they keep BS'ing me around and putting me off.

First time some guy said he'd get right on it, and never did. Second time I got some crap about the guy being a newbie there and hed get right on it....a week and a 1/2 ago. Ita been a month of trying, nothing yet, im getting angry. I think I will e-mail them again.
