I finally got one off of ebay. Screen kinda blurs with fast movement but it is decent. I don't think I will ever play it as I have my laptop stuffed full of Genesis games but it is awesome for my collection. I was just wondering who all out there has a Nomad and what they think of it?

But I never play it, Its a decent system, better than any other handheld out at that time.

I have 2 and I still think it's one of the better handhelds.
Wish the batteries would last longer though.......Oh well thats what an ac adapter is for.
Oh and I don't even have a Genny hooked up , I just use my Nomad and hook it up to the TV . 8-)

Got one for free last weekend :D It has a small red vertical line going through the screen, but it's unnoticable when playing Streets of Rage.
Yes, I got one, cost me 100.00 UKpounds from CEX, don't use it much because I use my TeraDrive mostly, which I got for 80.00 UKpounds from Sega (UK).

I have one, paid $100 for it at CGE this year. I use it more than my Genesis on my TV now because my dog decided to chew through the RF and AC adapters for it :angry:

Anyhow, I have one. Screen is awful, but the stereo sound is nice. I don't use mine much anymore because even though my Genesis 3 currently has mono and the video output is rather bad it's still a nice step up from the Nomad. Can't say I miss playing on that thing :P

FYI to all of you Nomad owners. My game gear works GREAT with the PSone Car Kit (the one for the LCD screen and PSone). It delivers the exact same out put as the GG rechargeable battery pack. I got mine for $20CDN and I love it. It's a rock solid quality car kit, and I can play my GG for as long as I please. :)
The Nomad uses the same Power supply as the GG does it not? The same as the Genny 2? If so, go to Circuit City or Best Buy and get yourself a Nomad Car kit!!

I have one, but I never use it. I got it for $25. I had two, but I sold my other one (got it for a whopping $3!) :D I may yet sell this one....I prefer my genny games on the TV!

I had a complete one with 30+ games.. it was in the box and even the battery pack (the one where you can put your own batts).
WOW! Does it ever suck the juice.. It went through brand name 1800 mA (6 batteries total) in about 3 hours on a plane flight once!
Ever since, I've enjoyed the GBA, and now the GBA SP on vacation a lot more, and ended selling the Nomad on eBay..

I have a Nomad. I got it a few weeks ago. I think it has something wrong with it though.. It seems to lock up every now and then when I'm playing games...some times it locks up before even displaying an intro screen for the game.
When it doesn't lock up I think it's pretty cool.

This may be a stupid question so bear with me
how do you open the battery case for the nomad?
I cant find anywhere on the back where it goes,I have been using my AC adaptor to play it but I kinda wanna make it portable like it was made to be using the batteries
anyone who could help me I would really apreciate it

That happens to me occasionally. I believe it is because I accidentally nudge the cart a little.

There is no built in battery pack. You have to buy a seperate pack that attaches to th back of the Nomad.
Yes, I got my TeraDrive when Sega closed it's UK offices. Love it, the games look so gorgeous in VGA. I wish I had some software to work with the PC/MD mode.
Recently (well, last year), I won a MegaPC on ebay, which is an Amstrad MegaDrive/386 PC, this computer even features a stereo monitor, and although I cannot boot the PC due to battery being empty, again, the MD games work a treat.
You cannot see both items, as my ISP closed my old website (bummer), but soon I put everything up on my new website. Trouble is, I keep selling more and more of my stuff.
