Mr. Do's Castle

Let's talk about Mr. Do's Castle for a second. This game is freakin' awesome! There is so much strategy involved, when to use the keys, when to trap the enemies between floors...I haven't been this addicted to a game in forever. Any other MDC fans out there?

I know I love it. It's more fun and fast-paced than Lode Runner, and the colorful atmosphere is most excellent indeed. I wonder what it would be like with two player gameplay?

I went through my MDC phase too. It's quite a good game, I also love the music. My only minor gripe is it is difficult to actually hit the Bonus guys with your hammer. Great game nonetheless.

In fact, I love MDC and Mr. Do, although they are quite different in style.

I haven't played this game for a LONG time... I think the last was on a ROM when I was like 7. I loved it, though. What systems can I get this game on?

Funny that this topic was brought up. I've been just playing this game on my C64 emulator on my computer. I love all the Mr. Do games, but don't forget Mr. Do's Wild Ride as well and I think there is another one as well. Great game, no matter how good the games of today are!

Last one is Do Run Run. Not sure if Wild Ride and Do Run Run were ever anywhere except the arcade. I love all of them and have rounded them all up for my JAMMA box (with an adapter). Great games.

Okay, all these people talking about MDC, now I want to try it. What system is it for?

There are quite a few versions. The Arcade, ColecoVision, 2600, and C64 come to mind. The C64 version is pretty nice, but you might want to start with the arcade original.

And if you like Mr. Do, don't forget to try Neo Mr. Do for the Geo.
