View Full Version : Multimedia 1.0 (Gaming store in NYC)

During my travels in NYC yesterday with friends I discovered this little store (I thinka round Union Square) called Multimedia 1.0. Old video games and systems galore!! From the new stuff to games and systems back to the NES, SNES, Genesis, 32x, Sega cd, saturn, Atari, Coleco, TG-16 and more! The store also had ROBs and the old arcade handhelds! Comple games and carts only too! problem is alot of it's pretty pricey. next time I'm in NYC and I think of it I'll try to find my way back there and take pictures. Anyone else in NYC ever been there?

Yup, Multimedia has a great selection! First time that I was there was the summer of last year and I'm forever thankful for them because I found an unopened copy of digital crack aka Card Fighters Clash lol I'm gonna have to swing by there again sometime soon.

Oh yeah, some of the stuff is definitely on the high side. Have you ever been to the game store on Elizabeth in ChinaTown (I forget its name). They were selling Fatal Fury 1 (ONE!) for almost 200 bucks. I burst out laughing in the middle of the store at the sight of that.
It's in a rather odd location isn't it? Kinda hidden away. I've mustve walked by the block a billion times and never knew it was there.

I've been to Multimedia several times. Initially, I thought it was a really cool place, with all sorts of amazing things in inventory.
However, their arrogant attitude took it's toll on me and I eventually grew tired of putting up with them.
They have a truly wonderful inventory and selection, very high prices, and a terrible attitude.
I haven't been by in at least a year.

When I mentioned the store in the odd location, I meant Multimedia 1. Sorry for not being clear.
And Noah, when I was there (granted, only once) everyone was pretty cool. Maybe I was there on a good day lol

Oh, yeah!
I dont remember the exact location, as I was only there once , but its on Elizabeth, the same block that has what looks like a mini mall.
