I wonder how much this lost is going to go for. I mean he is throwing in Bubble Bobble 2 for good measure. I seriously want that Rodland proto, since it is the first one i have heard of.

When I saw the ID I wondered if it was the same Dave Kelsall I know... this confirmed it:
They were rescued from a skip when I was working for a Nintendo mag in the UK - these are what we got sent for review or to test). Some may be finished versions - I really don't know I'm afraid.
He used to work for the official Nintendo magazine here in the UK (London to be precise), so many of these no doubt have been rescued from Emap's bins when they dropped NES coverage about 8-9 years ago. No surprise to find an ex-reviewer with stores of things to sell, I bet it happens quite a bit given what they used to (and still do) get sent to review ie. non-finished code and pre-release copies.

Not trying to be a pain but they can (they don't always do it though) pull any beta and prototype auctions. They did on my nfl fever and re-volt beta discs from teh xbox live beta. It pisses me off, but damn game companies are the ones who pressured them into it.

Freakin ebay, why do they care if it says prototype anyway? I mean people know what they are paying for, and are not stupid. I hope the seller relists these seperately, and puts something like "sample" in the title.

Most times, the games are to be sent back to the original company. Hence, it is sort of like selling stolen property. That is why Ebay does not allow them to be sold anymore.
Oh and the seller isn't going to relist them again. He already sold them to an interested party. And no, it was not me.
