I need a good utility (preferrably freeware) to batch compress a ton of rom files into zip files. I just want to take romfile.bin. zip it to romfile.zip, and delete the .bin if no errors occur. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Drew?

There is an awesome tool called "zipone". Just run it from a command prompt and it will do exactly what you want...even with long filenames. It will even delete the original unzipped files as it processes if you want it to. Unfortunately the website for zipone seems to have vanished, but I have a copy since I use it all the time. It'll work in 2k/XP as well. Give me your email and I'll send it over.

Zophar's used to have utilities to do this, but it seems that they reshuffled the appropriate section recently. You can see Google's snapshot of the Utilities section here (http://216.239.41.104/search?q=cache:1mctleN7no0J:www.zophar.net/utilities/genutil.html+site:www.zophar.net+zip+roms&hl=en&ie=UTF-8).
