What are the 25 Best Video Games of All Time that were for whatever reason never released in America?

I never really had any opportunity to play imports during the days of the TurboGrafx-16, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation, 3DO, Atari Jaguar, etc, etc.

I did get a chance to play a few PC Engine games, but that was about it.

I'm curious as to what the 25 best video games are that American audiences were never "officially" introduced to.

I'm sure you guys know of tons of games that were awesome that people in the U.S. never got a chance to play.

I'm not going to organize them, but here are what I would think to be likely candidates:

Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo
Radiant Silvergun
Gradius Gaiden
Kaze Kiri
Crisis Force
Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Grafitti
The entire Parodius series (4 games)
Gradius 2
Alien Soldier

That's not 25 games in all. I apologize, but my knowledge on imports is limited. This is all that I can contribute. I didn't even get to play all of these games, so I couldn't give you an honest opinion on how much they rule.

Using the handy search feature turned up this very helpful link!

Another interesting place to look into non-US games is the Import Forum:

I'll close this one so conversation can continue in the thread it started in. Thanks!
