Hi, I'm pretty good with making things out of plastic and I'm trying to make a custom NES system. I want it to be able to play famicom carts and NES carts. Are famicom games the right size for the 72-pin connector or are they a different size, and also are they even compatible with the NES?

The Famicom games are 60 pin. So you need a converter to play them on the NES .
Sometimes you can get lucky and "find" a converter in an old NES game. That's how I got mine. :D

Shameless Plug:

If you are looking to get a Fami to NES converter, I have a few extras. $10.00 shipped US or Canada. They are the kind that come in a shell, not the cheap-o"Boards by thmeselves." Although, you could make them that way.
