Immediately I think of
1) the wolf howl from House of the Dead,
2) the menace-filled synthesized voice from Sinistar (it said "I live", when you dropped the coin, right?)
3) the "woing" (onomatopoetic) from Time Pilot (ALL of the sounds from Time Pilot completely rule.)
What else?
With the arcade scene dying out, we may not get too many more...

Ooh! Great topic!
I really dig *all* the old Williams coin-op sounds: Robotron, Stargate, Bubbles... the rest. All great.
Another that immediately comes to mind, but not because it's great, is the "Thank you... very much!" sound when plunking coins into that old Cinematronics World Series (the Season) coin-op. It just always struck me as funny. Not necessarily "haha" funny, but funny.

edit: oops, read the topic wrong. Sorry, this is just a 'regular' arcade sound. I really dig it though ;)

I'm resurrecting this great topic.
Smash TV had great coin-feed audio. Slip a quarter or token into the machine, and you're treated to a very enthusiastic, "Bingo!" Anyone trying to beat the entire game would hear that phrase A LOT.

I don't like the game, nor have I played the actual arcade machine, but in mame, I dig the Alex Kidd: Lost stars coin feed "The customer is king!"

The only coin feed sound that even came to mind for me had to have been one of the all-time greats --

The only sound I even remember was the DDR beat sound, but that was a cool beat.

Wow, I could never remember the name of that game. The voice was so muffled, it was funny to hear.
I also like the sound Marble Madness made when you dropped in a coin.
