What was it in the game that made them change it? Was it nudity or something, or was it just for violance. I remeber people saying it was cause they were running around in there bras but I dont imangine that being the reason. Any light on the subject?

It didn't get remade.
It was pulled off of the shelves for a little while, but I'm not even sure that was EVERYWHERE. It was definitely at Toys R' Us at least, however.
According to Rob Fulop, the thing that got to most of our legislators was the "drill in the neck" scene. It was really taken out of context - they made it seem like this game was all about finding half-naked girls and sticking a drill into their neck. Of course it wasn't. And how could Fulop's team develop the concept of these "vampires" without a scene like that?
Anyway, it wasn't long before the game was "re-released", but it was NOT remade. The games are the same, in two different packages. Makes you wonder who was being clever, doesn't it?

Ignorant legislators with nothing better to do than censor our grainy, digitized, Dana Plato enhanced video fun are incapable of being clever.

Hey, didn't Rob Fulop do 2600 Missile Command and Demon Attack. That man is talented!
It's hillarious to me that Congress got all upset about a nothing game like Night Trap. Isn't it about time they woke up and got a little pissed about GTA3? It's like; hello! It's the THIRD game of this car-jacking, murdering people in the middle of the street stuff! I was shocked when the 1st GTA hit the streets without raising eyebrows.

Maybe they just had nothing to do back then? I don't know. I mean, the Mortal Kombat thing made a little sense because that game was huge. But...Night Trap? Good thing they've probably never heard of a little game called Chiller...
