Old red white Family Computer AV output conversion remodelling
If the New Family Computer of AV specification you buy, but problem solving what
Also the fact that you buy newly is what... the current Family Computer it is not broken yet and....
After all, we would like to play with the red white Family Computer of that time....
The New Family Computer using, however the る,
We would like to use the Family Computer of the former times when it is taken still as the second machine....
The New Family Computer っ て microphone being attached, don't you think? - it is! (Rage)
Such... exactly it is remodelling in circumstance.
Until now, the data which is number I Ro I Ro being to see, it does, but with the contents where every one needs the video amplifier,
Being just a little to be confused, it does, but there was a sight which introduces the method where it can make simplest.
Electric shock original manual
' Utility * electronic construction ' ' Family Computer AV conversion ' with we are raised in the page.
Schematic + explanation, being to be in detail raised together, as for details with there.... (^^;
If the one which is experience of little electronic construction it can make simple and the ち ゃ is.
If only soldering it is possible, it is the expectation which becomes somehow with nature.
First the necessary part will be gathered.

Is just this which passes. (^o^)
Promptly, it will arrange at the Akihabara and Nihonbashi electronic part store.
So without suffering hardship, it is the expectation which is even simply.
After if there is a video cable or a RCA terminal, it is the オッケー.
Promptly the electric shock original manual in reference soldering.

It is such feeling.

After, it solders the lead wire in each signal and the GND.
Because the solder on the baseplate had come under the soldering part of the video signal,
From after because of sense, the insulated seat was put. (^^;
And it is connection to the video cable of the finish, but
In case of me the famous not seeing and it is with Family Computer remodelling remodelling in reference,
Making use of the controller cable hole pickup of the substance rear,
The RCA terminal was inserted.
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/d.jpg
From video signal in RCA terminal after the soldering,
You set to the controller hole pickup.
Only the video signal, used the a little thick lead wire.
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/f.jpg
From aural signal in RCA terminal after the soldering,
You set to the controller hole pickup.
Directly you think it is good producing the video cable.
So, as for controller from somewhere?
This and not seeing and it is remodelling in reference,
The substance front was shaved, the controller was discharged.
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/h.jpg
Like this when it does, the feeling where also the cable a little is good becoming long.
The person who in coming out prevention ties the cable among them is good, probably will be.
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/g.jpg
If you reset on the basis of the sabot lastly, it is completion, but this time, please consider sufficiently in arrangement of each lead wire.
When the RCA terminal is arranged in the substance rear, by any means the lead wire,
The sliding part for the cassette removal the possibility of interfering is high, is.
Temporary teaming up, if it seems that sliding the cassette removal is hard,
It does not interfere, the sea urchin to be good please arrange the lead wire.
When with such a meaning you play with the old red white Family Computer,
After all, memory of that time does and does the ひ the ひ with.... (Laughing)
Naturally, because you can use as much as II コンマイク,
Temporarily, is not strongest, probably will be?
(It does not serve to the sled ゃ twin Family Computer, but....
Super being easily, it is the super オススメ with remodelling whose super practicality is high.
(Super 3 step applications)
Have A good FAMICOM life!
Then, it comes well, Family Computer life!
Failing in remodelling, assuming, it was broken, with this one it does not owe responsibility altogether.
Please execute in the responsibility of each one.
In addition, whether there is also a version of the substance which cannot do this remodelling, the しれません.
At this point in time acknowledgement.

Of course, if your Famicom board doesn't look like the ones pictured above, then don't do it unless you want to risk a burned out Famicom. There must be at least a zillion Famicom variations (mostly clones) and just about all but the original Nintendo version has AV port in some form.

THANKS FOR THE TRANSLATION
I have an O.G. Famicom and a Disk System on the way I could not get the Famicom to work on my TV set I read on Tsr Nes website that there was an easy mod out there. I sent an email to him I have not recieved any thing back yet on where or how to do this mod.
The Japanese Site seems risky I think Ill wait until a more solid site or method is found.
I have read about trying different channels to get a Famicom to work on US TV sets but had no luck .
The only thing left is to find a top loading famicom with av only or mod my Famicom unit.(too much money for one)
Anyone with a better idea?

Well, many 3rd party clones often have AVs. Such as Polystation (looks like PSX)

I was told that many of the clones would not work with the disk system I dont know how true that is but I am going to try it when it gets here with my top loader and famicom adapter. BTW how well does the polystation work any other good working famicom clones with av that you could recommend.
I am still shocked no one knows where or how to mod this ( its been done to the intv, atari 2600, and colecovision. Maybe to many clones out there to worry about it.

Maybe there are more sites on modding Famicoms that you just haven't found. Many search engines often won't search foregion web sites so you may have to use Japanese search site, and type the keyword in japanese to get the hits you need.

All Famicom clones will run a Famicom Disk System just fine. However, the only completely accurate Famicom hardware comes with the original...the clones, for instance, will not play the "Gimmick!" music correctly, or digital sound in general (just try Mario 2 [USA] on a clone and pick up a vegetable, you'll see). The video is usually off too, kind of like the American toploader.
If anyone finds the correct AV MOD for the original Fami, I'd like the info as well. I'd rather have a MOD'd original than an AV Famicom, they look cooler on top of the FDS.

I too have been looking for a site in English that explains this. That site doesn't even make sense when translated. I don't own any clones, and I don't really care to...anyone got an Englishh link for this?
Thanks!
Yours,

Hey, that link actually leads to another link that gives two more japanese versions of the Famicom mod. I'd post the link, but it seems their server is down now.
But it's still in Japanese!! Come on, I know someone here knows an English link for this! :D
Can anyone clear up (if that link is working when you click on it) why there are two different mods?

Hi Folks,
I managed to do this successfully.
I found this mod to be a little clearer to understand, since the pics were a little better.
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/famav2.html
All that you need is this pic:
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/fcav2c.jpg
And this pic:
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/fcav2d.jpg
Oh, and this one for audio:
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/fcav2g.jpg
I ran the wires out of the bottom vent in order to avoid drilling any holes or running the new audio video jacks out the controller port holes.
That blue wire is just the ground for your video jack. Don't forget a ground for your audio jack too. Why they showed three jacks in this pic is not mentioned, as far as I can tell:
http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~caf05310/famicom/hardimg/fcav2a.jpg
I know there's plans out there to give a Famicom or NES stereo sound, but they sure don't explain it here!
If anyone needs more help, lemme know. If this project costs you $10, you got ripped off (assuming you have a soldering gun, screwdriver, solder, and famicom :-)
