I'm glad I was one of the lucky ones that Kamino drunk dialed. Its sounds like you all had a great time.

Oh My F---ing GOD, what an exciting and exhausting drive there and back. Tolls were such a Biatch to get through, especially on the way back. Imagine scrounging every corner for 80 cents after spending a good 80-100 bucks or so during the weekend. Long story, and Kamino could tell it better. Thank god I got my deposit from my job this sunday!

For my first real show to go to, it was pretty sweet. I got to see certain import items that I haven't seen before, met some good people and Bought like theres no tomorrow! Many good things like my first trip to hooters! My first trip to a Dave and Busters (overpriced bastiches!). And, watched WonderShowzen for the first time. Thanks for the Guides Oobgarm! I also enjoyed hanging out saturday going to game shops.

Really great weekend! Looking forward to MGC!

Definitely good times.

Met a few new people, like Matt-El, JJNova, CueWarrior, downfall, and Kamino.

The 3-car game store entourage was fun, even if the stores didn't turn up anything super great. I saw that spoon made out well. There were a few stores we didn't hit that had some retro stuff, perhaps we'll iron out a plan to hit stuff next time.

The drinking night sounded like fun, but we had to bow out for various reasons. And that Econolodge? Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear it was shitty. It wasn't really in that great of an area of town, honestly.

Regretably, I missed chrisbid and den68.

My only real score of the event was a sealed & boxed Japanese Mega(Rock) Man collection set, with all 6 NES games rereleased on PSX, Mega Man X7, and some bitchin' pins.

i was in and out of the show, and mostly kept to my group, though i did get to briefly chat with scooterb.

http://cinciclassic.org/e107/e107_plugins/autogallery/autogallery.php?show=2006_cinciclassic%2Fpic00038. jpg

there i am with my NEX prize for winning the Dr Mario tournament. i also scored a great Retro Gaming Hacks (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/retrogaminghks/index.html) book, and a copy of 8 Bit Weapon's Vaporware Soundtracks 2.0 (http://www.8bitweapon.com/music.htm) for taking third place in the trivia contest.

i posted my long list of purchases on my DP blog. i got some good deals, but i kept my strategy to buying mostly dreamcast games, until the show started to tear down, when i started getting a lot more deals on things i wasnt looking for as much. My best score was probably Shenmue Limited Edition for seven dollars. in addition to the games and hardware i have on my blog, i also picked up the starcade DVD (17.95), the bitsmack podcast CD (2.00), the gamebot DVD (5.00), a black dreamcast tshirt (5.00), and issues 3,4, & 5 of video game collector (15.00)

Happy that you guys had fun. Here in Florida we have no huge video game expos at all. :( I guess everbody cares for the beach, and not games. :(

That's Spoon begging for money so his broke ass can get back on the internet. :D

Eep. I had a lot of fun, dispite having about two hours of sleep the night before. My two favorite events of the show were fisting Perkar's Metroid poster and teasing that silly Kamino. I wish it was more of a weekend event with other events planned and that Oob and I could have made it to the drinking party. I had a bad week and getting out of the house and seeing everyone cheered me up.

My one and only score was a minty copy of Popful Mail which I clung to most of the day.

Whew. I JUST got home. I attended Cinciclassic, got home Sat. night, grabbed my OTHER pre-packed suitcase, and immediately left for a 3-day business trip. (Interesting point: Trip was to Mahwah, NJ, which turns out is just up the road from our own DP - both the man and the store. Couldn't escape to visit though. :( )

Had a great time, and met a buttload of DP crew: kamino, bigdaddychester, cuewarrior, den68, scooterb, downfall, rolenta, Matt (snyper), Mike from VGC, and Mike (and lovely wife) from GDG. (Apologies to anyone I missed!)
I have a ton of photos which I'll post very soon. Hope everyone enjoyed the event as thanks for everyone who took advantage of my Sniderman DeepDishDiscounts!

For those still trying to figure out that one undentifiable person in the photo-that's Jon, goes under the handle Jhikan on DP. Not much of a poster, though.

He's a buddy of mine and Betty's from back in the Gamestop days.

I had a great time and the drive home really wasn't that bad. I didnt doze off at all. Last Philly Show I fell asleep numerous times at the wheel, not good. Mike : )

Hey all... Rubbertoe here. Some will be familiar with the name, most probably not. Anyway - I have lurked here for a while, but decided to go ahead and sign up to interact with the rest of the humans a bit. I know this is way old news, but I also have a decent gallery of CinciClassic '06 photos in the now-defunct gallery section of my site.

A lot of mine were from the set-up time, but I still might have caught some of y'all in some of the random snapshots. (FWIW, I also have a couple crappy YouTube vids with the pics and digitalcam video.. just search "cinciclassic" there)

Me again. I've recently set up a Flickr Pro account, so I've uploaded almost all of the pics I took at Cinci last year. Many of them will be the same as from the other link I posted, except in much higher resolution.

Nice pictures. I'm featured prominently in photos 105 & 107 on the flickr page. I must be photogenic. I'm the ginormously tall dude in the brown windbreaker.

The gentleman whose table I'm standing in front of (and whose name escapes me) had some very interesting stuff. As a collector, he seemed similar to me. Lots of goofy, strange, random game related stuffs for sale. Also quite nice. I blew at least 75 dollars at his table. In fact, I barely bought anything from anyone else.

It's too bad that CinciClassic '07 hasn't been announced yet :( Btw, my gargantuan ass is on the right in the following pic:

I haven't heard too many rumblings of things going on though. We might have to light a fire under the collective asses of the organizers in order to get it going...

Either that...or start a new game convention....

COLUMBOCON, anyone? I always thought Columbus would get a better turnout...
