Is that one of prototype DIzzy cartridges that Basil had? That is quite cool to say the least, congrats.

Yes, I got it from Dr.Morbis/Basil. It was my first proto too, Balloon Fight. Does yours look just like mine?

Are you guys sure this is a proto??
It looks very similar to AVE games, where they use EPROMs for their production runs. And the plastic looks like the label was there but forcefully removed.
Have you noticed any difference between this and the production runs?

I can confirm the Camerica carts I've opened up used all roms, no eproms.

The scan I posted of the cart case may lead you to think that the label was removed, but if you see it in real life it does not appear that way at all. There are some other differences as well between this cart and production Camerica carts, such as the absence of the A/B position switch and the fact that the "Patent Pending" notice is not molded into the case.

Yup, it looks identical. It was also my first proto. ^_^
Thanks again to the Dr.

No Camerica games use eproms in production. Also, this same person (Basil T/Dr. Morbis) has a Bignose and the Witchdoctor prototype. This game was an unreleased version of Bignose Freaks Out.

Glad to here you guys are happy with those. I've got a chance to see a rather large stash of Camerica stuff in the coming weeks that was liquidated up here a decade ago. It could just be 1000 copies of Bignose the Caveman, or it could contain some proto's or unreleased stuff (knock on wood). I've been waiting for my contact to get back from Iran forever.
