Get a load of this. I won this auction, yeah I know a lot of coin but there are all of those games were on my must get list. I live about 3 hours a way from this guy, in the same in Canada, and he's nailing me for 45 dollars for shipping! 45 that's in U.S! that take's a fairly good deal and pushes it into not a good deal at all!

If he doesn't list a shipping price: don't bid, or ask before you bid.
You could also try asking if he'll go another method (as long as you don't mind a wait) We have the slow media mail in the states and someone wanted like $30 or something to ship a lot of magazines. I asked them for media mail and it took it down to $10.
Will he allow you to come pick it up? Atleast that way, half a tank of gas will be cheaper than shipping.

Hey, welcome to the boards.
I've said it before, but I NEVER bid on an auction without a shipping quote. Period.
Also, this in his auction should have been a warning bell:
Pay Pal payments must also includes an additional $4 charge to cover transaction fees.
Sounds like someone who won't even kiss you afterwards.

LOL LOL LOL
I would agree, I would have sent an e-mail in advance asking what shipping was. It does appear that he gouged you there. But what do I know. ;)

sometimes getting a shipping estimate is hard without any idea where the package is going to go...if you want an item and it doesn't have the shipping, I wouldn't completely dismiss it. Just email far enough in advance to get a quote, all you need to do is send your zip or postal code...simple.

This is OT (pretty much), but NICE Saturn lot. It may not have been a "deal", but IMO those are some of the better games out there.

Nice score. I think he's charging more for shipping to make up for the fact that he didn't get as much as he wanted for the auction. That being said, shipping & handling is not stated in the auction. Therefore, it must be "reasonable" shipping & handling fees. Keep in mind that is a fairly bulky item to ship with all those Sega Cases that are prone to break. Add in the fact that its being shipped to Canada, I could see shipping being at least $20, not including insurance or handling. $45 is definitely too high. Tell him you want to know the exact weight of the package and the amount he's charging fo "handling" if any (its not stated in the auction, so I would argue he's not entitled to it, but to be reasonable I would allow $1 to $3 handling)
After you get the weight of the item, go to http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/rc/res/bin/rc_res-e.asp and see how much shipping really is, then call him out on it and tell him you'll report him to ebay if he does not charge reasonable shipping rates (in Canandian dollars).
BTW, lose the interact memory card and pick up an Action Replay 4-in-1. Those interact cards tear up your cartridge slot.
