Nightshade. I spent the longest period of time writing the name Kunoichi wrong (as "Kuniochi" - don't get that stuck in your head, o before i I guess).
Yeah, she gots some moves, yo. Stuff. o_O
I love Sega's site on the new PS2 Shinobi games. There's some awesome pictures (including some real photographs) in there.

Did you know that Kunoichis often worked as prostitutes? It helped them get much closer to their targets... it's pretty hard to run away from an assassin when your pants are down around your ankles.

It makes sense. Remember the SNES beat-em-up Ninja Warriors? The female character was named Kunoichi. The male character was named Ninja. :roll:
The robot character was called Kamaitachi. You think that means "robot ninja" or "cyber ninja?"
Jess, that tidbit is WAY too cool! I know a friend that would like to hear something like this... LOL

Look at the bottom of the page for more information. I suppose "prostitute" was probably a bad choice of words... the kunoichi would seduce her male victims into extremely vulnerable positions, but she may have killed them well before they had intercourse.

And exactly which positions were these? :D
FYI:
Kamaitachi is type of cut. Chrono has a spell in Chrono Trigger called "Kamaitachi" as do some of the bad guys in FFVII. Basically, according to my dictionary the defitintion is roughly:
"A phenomon in which a cut, like the cut from a scythe (a kama) appears on the body, without bumping into or touching anything."
So, in all those ninja animes where the ninja wil cut many times, and not really touch them, but the people fall into pieces -- that's a kamaitachi.
