Modchip is the only way I can think of.

I just ordered myself a copy, I'll have to let you know how it is, Dr. Bensenvill.
BTW I have an import system, no way to play them on an american system, barring modification or the like.

I got no qualms about that, but I could really use some help on which mod chip to get.

I am not sure how the mods feel about mods.(HA) I have bought from them many times always came through. PS2 chips are not easy to install by any means.

I'd be so crazy and would actually buy GT Prologue. :) I think that GT3 is one of the best games ever produced.
It won't be released in the US, so this settles it for me. No mods for me. BTW, is there a conversion disc for the PS2 which enables you to play import games??? (like so many convenient conversion discs for the DC)

There is no really easy way of playing imports on a ps2.

ya I saw that before.
I know there is no easy route (I have nearly completed my computer engineering degree so this stuff doesnt intimidate me). But does anyone have experience using mod chips (or swap disks) for playing import games on the PS2??

Had a play of this over the weekend. Gorgeous actually, much better than GT3, and the tracks featured are a mix of everything, including a great tight winding street track through narrow Italian housing streets!
