I just got it for a birthday present recently (the PS2 version), and I like it quite a bit so far. It's glitchy in spots, but not too badly. It does a pretty good job of being faithful to the films.

I'd say rent it first, then make your decision.

I've been playing the PC version and have been enjoying it. The controls are better than the last Indy PC game (Infernal Machine) and it's a lot easier because this game gives you visual clues quite often as to what to do. I've played for about 4 hours and haven't had to look at a walkthru yet.

The game is a mix of action (fist-fighting / guns), puzzles, and platform jumping. The fist-fighting is especially fun. On the default difficulty level it's a pretty well balanced game. My eight year-old son likes to watch me play it and he's now gotten into Indy games and the movies. Thus far I'd give the game an 8/10. I've also heard it uses the same game engine as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I picked it up for $20 new in a three-pack at Fry's Electronics. Besides Indy the three-pack included Star Wars Galactic Battleground (+ expansions) and 007 Nightfire. Even if I never play the other games, Indy alone was worth the $20.
