Which do you find is an easier venue for getting rid of your extra stuff? Or do you have other suggestions.
I used to think listing in the buy/sell forum on this board and others was the easiest. I might not exactly get the highest price, but it saved the trouble of an ebay auction and all the extra fees. Recently this changed. I offered something for sale on another board, after being made an offer which I accepted, and then swapping addresses, the person never responded it was a go. After 2 days I sent a follow up, then they asked a basic question about the item in question (which could have been answered looking at the pictures), using it to break the deal. If this was so critical it should have been asked during the first or second email exchange. In the meantime I put off a number of other buyers. In the end this cost me more time then setting up an auction, and I still have the item.
I understand buyers remorse, although I'm lucky in that I've never had an ebay buyer backout. Frequently when posting on buy/sell forums I get people who "kick the tires", maybe ask a question or two, ask you to jump through a hoop, and in the end very few people follow through. (I'm guilty of this as well). It seems we are all cheap, we know what things are worth, yet everybody expects a deal comparable to what you would get in the wild. I'm begining to get disgruntled. I'm debating boxing up all my doubles and everything else I never play up, storing it in the attic and forgetting about it for the next 10 years, by then maybe the world will have found an easier method.
