I've tried many things, Goo Gone, WD-40, it works ok but I've finally found out what really works!

COLOGNE!

Someone mentioned it to me once, and I kinda laughed at it, but the other day I was trying to get some Marker off the Arkanoid vaus controller I have...nothing worked, so I decided to pull out my Adidas cologne, put some on a paper towel and try it. Not only does my controller smell good enough to pick up girls, but its also marker free! Now while some I had to scrub hard, most of them just pulled right off. Anyone else figured this out yet?

Yay, you're taking a solvent stronger than goo-gone and putting it onto your body to attract women. That sounds good.

I do not like fragrances.

I thought about that...if it takes of permanant marker, what's it doing to out skin?

Scary huh

Actually, I have tried this approach, but found that Goo-Gone or rubbing alcohol worked pretty much just as well. Perhaps your cologne has special ingredients? ;)

I thought I smelled oranges. I just figured Christian's house smelled funny.

I'd rather have dirty carts and controllers than ones that reeked of cologne.

As long as you're not made of magic marker, wearing cologne should be safe.

Indeed, once you get the marker off, how on earth do you get the smell of cologne off?

Seriously, who want their game room smelling like a cheesy nightclub?

leave the carts out, it will eventually wear off

My dad's cologne is pungent. It's one of the first things that greets me each weekday morning. :puke:

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll just stay faithful to the tried-and-true method of making clay pigeons and coasters out of violated carts.

If it's the adidas stuff, then yeah.....If it's Stetson or Old Spice or something...then no.

Anyhow, using Rondosol on labels in moderation will take off Magic marker, void labels off of plastic.

Hey!

*pats on a little more Old Spice*

I'd say that it's the alcohol in the cologne that's taking off the marker. Cologne has a high alcohol content so that it will dry quickly when applied. So you could get similar results with rubbing alcohol, and I'd imagine that the 95% stuff would be better than the 70% stuff (the rest of the % in each case being H2O). When I need to get "Sharpie" off of something, it's rubbing alcohol to the rescue. And it doesn't smell like a night club or locker room (or whatever that Adidas stuff smells like).

Actually, I've known the true secret to getting marker off of anything for a while: it's elbow grease. Hell, give me a damp cloth and my greasy elbows will have marker off faster than a pair of size 5 pants at the Neverland Ranch.

... Actually, I lied. It's a little slower than that.
