Cubix: The rarest Playstation 2 game?????

Cubix: Robots For Everyone Showdown for PS2, NOT Gamecube

I posted a comment about this in my "tommorows rarities" topic that got closed...I'd really like it if someone has some info on it. Heres why I think it will be the rarest PS2 title...

First of all, its near impossible to find any record of this game anywhere for PS2, GCN is easy to find though. It's not listed on GameFAQs and wasn't on IGN.com...and when I brought it to IGN's attention they basically wanted me to prove it! I think its one of those games released right before 3DO went under and quickly stopped producing.

Can anyone give me any kind of info on this? WHY is it not listed anywhere? Whats up with this game?????

Hey Cmosfm...I know where at least two of these exist locally! MUAHAHAHAHA! I don't think it's all that rare currently, maybe just "under the radar." It's only $10 or so new, so you can't really go wrong.

I picked it up for $4.99 used. My Blockbuster had a ton of 'em.

Blockbuster seems like the only place that has them. I've seen one or 2 other places, but I still think it will be pretty rare.

Ive seen 1 at Gamecrazy, at 3 at Blockbuster. The game that i think is going to be rare is Bombastic. I cant find this sucker anywhere.

Why would anyone even *want* Cubix? I picked this one up for GCN on the cheap and I have to say that it's one of the most godawful boring games I've ever played. Major lame-o.

The reason you only find cubix for PS2 at Blockbuster and such is because it was a rental exclusive, although these rental outlets also sold new copies of the game also...I have to agree through that the PS2 is harder than the GC version to find. It comes with some extra DVD too if you by it new.

gamecube verision also came with a dvd packed on the front.

Yeah, my Blockbuster has four or five of PS2 version and I didn't see any of the Gamecube ones (though the used Gamecube section seemed a little light anyway).

I just traded it in at EB for $1.49.
Does that tell you anything ? LOL

The rare games are always easy to find when there fairly new....just you wait until you see this game topping off the PS2 rarity list 10 years down the line...and you cant find it anywhere. Then you'll look back and say, jeez, that nut on the boards was RIGHT! LOL
