Hello, Hope someone can help

I recently hooked up one of my Sega CD's (Model 2) to a Genny 1, everything played alright at first, but I noticed a problem.

First example, I was playing Revengers Of Vengance... I reached the second to last boss, and like usual the music track would finish. Usually it would reload and start over, but the music never restarted. Also, after the fight the screen went black (it would be loading the "Victory, Gold ect" screen) but nothing happened.

Upon opening the disc drive, the disc had just stopped. The only way to fix the problem was to reset the system.

Next example, I was playing Vay. In certain areas (Towns, Dungeons) the music would stop after a few reloads and once I left the town, same problem that I had with ROV.

So I thought "Must be an old Sega CD", got out another Model 2 Sega CD. Same problem, same music tracks.

Both games are in great shape. I really don't know what's going on :(

Could the Genny be the problem? Or a power plug issue? Anyone have this problem before?

Thanks for any help you can give :)

It really sounds like a scratched or dirty disc problem.
Or maybe even glitches in the game itself. I've played games before with random bugs like the ones you've described.

Lunar the Silver Star would always do that if I played it on a certain sega cd model 2 unit but all other systems didn't glitch and other games played on all of them.

Could be an I/O problem, try cleaning the connectors between your Sega CD and Genesis. Yet another reason I love my JVC X'Eye. :)
