Yo, what's happening everybody? I just picked up Activision Anthology for the Game Boy Advance last night for $22.00. This is an amazing compilation featuring over 55 Radical Games for the GBA and is a must have for any collector or GBA Owner. It is almost exactly like the PS2 version, but features 7 never before seen homebrew games along with GBA system link compatible. Like I said this is a must have, and might be a little hard to come by at first. I LOVE Activision Anthology :D :rocker: :D :rocker:

My Gamestop has it, when I gutted the display copy I checked the manual because it said it included "Homebrew and never before released games". Well one of the homebrew games is Skeleton+! Too bad I sold my GBA or I'd get this! lol

I bought Activision Anthology at my work (GameStop). Thanks PongHit and Take Care. :D :D :D

Cool, I was looking forward to this game...I purposely held off getting the PS2 one for this one. I have to get a copy some time this week. :D

LOL Hey I bought your GBA just to play this game, seriously it was the main reason I needed an SP soon. I had put off buying one for a couple of months till this game came out:)

Grabbed it today. They did a real nice job on it. If you play through your GBA PLayer, you can use the GC analogs for Kaboom. Heavens be praised! Plus it even keeps track of your high scores and if you're high enough to earn "Patches" from the old days of silver jackets.

On a side note, I was surprised to discover my artwork for Climber 5 in the cartridge. I won the atariage.com contest a while back.

Geeked out? Yes I am. :D

I picked this up at GameStop last night -- they weren't even on the shelves yet -- I had to ask for it.

I came home & played it for hours & hours & hours. My hands & eyes hurt -- & I was exhausted -- so I finally dragged my lame ass to bed... Felt just like being 12 years old again!

This collection is awesome! I can't explain the feeling of these old 'friends' in such a tiny format... it's just fantastic! Go BUY IT NOW! No complaints from me about any aspect of this release... I want more, more, more 2600 on GBA ! ! !

This will be good fun when I'm desperately in need of some quick entertainment. I'm still amazed they got a 2600 emulator to run on the GBA. Some games run a little slower (HERO, Pitfall II, probably others,) but Starmaster for one seemed totally flawless. Oh, and why is Okie Dokie now Okie?

Is this worth getting if (a) you already have the PS2 version and (b) you're not a hardcore 2600 fan?

That's sweet as hell! You're a part of video game history now!

It can provide quick pick-up-and-play gameplay, and it even has a few games that aren't on the PS2 version. If you like the PS2 one, and play a decent amount on your GBA/Player, it's recommended.

On a side note, anyone know what is up with Venetian Blinds? Is it actually a game or what?

Nope, just a demo.

Huh. I like Video Euchre. And I don't even really care for Euchre. WEIRD.

So far, my best time on Dragster is about 6.27. I'll get it sooner or later.

I love how the manuals are all included and are pretty easy to read. I look forward to learning Euchre having never played that game. Also need to learn Okie Dokie and a few of the Activision games.

My best GBA Dragster is 5.91, trying to get down to my 2600 record of 5.81 (which I'm sure I can get into the 5.70's if I keep at it :) )

Lots of good Dragster tips here that got a couple of people's score into the 5's, same principles apply to the GBA port:

Aargh! I learned today that my employer won't carry it and that neither will the local EB stores in Montreal!!!

I'm trying to see if my friend François, who owns a gaming store, will be able to order me a copy via his distributor. Otherwise, I'll have to go directly through Aspyr to get it.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Bloody Head Freeway. If they wanted to add a tasteless hack of an Activision classic, it should have been my own Kabul.

Yeah, but it's not exactly a "tasteless hack" in that it's a pre-release version of Freeway! I've never heard if it was a joke, or whether they were actually thinking of releasing it that way, but it was done by the guys at Activision, possibly David Crane himself...

Too lazy to find the link right now but I read recently that Crane developed Human Freeway as the intended, original game but that after some meetings with the company bosses they made him change it to chickens so no one would get offended.
