I'm looking for a camcorder that I needed to find last week.....but finding one now is better than never. anyways, i was looking at the sharp VL-3ZU and the Panasonic PV-DV203. any comments on either or others I should look at are more than welcome and appreciated. and.....a couple of requirements that I have put up during my hunt
It Must:
use miniDV storage
flash storage capabilities(willing to live without this if i must)
those are all the requirements i can think of for now. I would prefer it to be small.....but i'm open to any suggestions or offers.
Furthermore, I bought a house last week and need to get this camera to tape the beginning of a long project. I get the keys and full access tomorrow, so I honestly needed this last week.
Thanks in advance everybody!!

You should just walk into a curcuit city, walk up to the salesman and tell
him your requirements.
Look at the price , look at your wallet ... and buy that camera like yesterday.
they may even let you pick the camera up and look at it right in the store!
maybe even use it!

:hmm: that's where money comes into play. If i can find somebody here that might have a camera I would like to $300-$350 or go to epay and find one for that much. Why would I go to circuit city and pay $500 and not just $500, Tax on that $500 here is almost $40. So then If i want to buy a camera bag to put it in, that's another $25. and how about a couple tapes and a memory card. I think I've spoken my peace. I can spend $600 in the store or $400 online and I usually have decent luck with online purchases(knock on wood). and Trust me, I've been to circuit city, walmart, abc warehouse, sears, and meijer and picked up every camera they had and fiddled with it. :D

oooooooooooooooo a videogame collector that cant blow $500?
thats a first haha.
Im just saying, if you wanna bite your hand and get it over with and have
the camera for when you need it.. just buy it.
I got like one of those 8mm jobbers i use at the bike park all the time.
picked it up for $100 at a pawn shop.
I feel ya bro on the amount of money you must have spent on the house
and for the project you are about to do ..
I blew $21.000 cash in one day and have nothing to show for it .
(dont ask)

i hit up the only pawn shop within an hour or two of my house yesterday. I didn't dig up much but they sent some guy packin when he tried to pawn off a dewalt tool kit(4 pc.) and i caught him outside the door and gave him $100 LOL and it seems to be in used but working condition, not too rough. and i bought the same toolkit the night before on ebay for $400 new. I guess I need two....but I was hoping to keep the camera as cheap as possible since I need new tires, and if it comes down to it i'll just buy new rims too. Found a set for $500, just unsure right now. So, as far as money goes, I like to squeeze where I can :D and I would like something, more "top of the line" so that it will last me a little while as far as technology goes. I would like to burn all the video I tape to DVD eventually.

If your in the CT Area, i can pull strings for you really fast...
My buddy sorin runs a pawn shop and he has digital cams and dewalt products.
I always liked dewalt better than black and decker...
Like, if your battery dies with a dewalt they will help you ,,, not so with sears and black and decker... but they are good for a few things though.
did not know you were gonna do the whole mpeg2 thing,,,
my bad.
