I recently got a Turbo Grafx 16 with the CD-ROM. It powers up perfectly, and it displays the Turbo Grafx CD boot-up screen. It tells me to press Run to continue, and when I do, it just says "Just a moment" but refuses to do anything else. On the CD-ROM it just gives me the letters PC, which I'm not sure what it stands for. Is there anything special I need to do before loading a game?

I never played the system....just ordered a boxed one of ebay w/ 7 complete games for $65 so I will be able to say I have played one soon....but I have seen that you need to put a HuCard in the TG16 to get the CD unit to work...it has to be the CD HuCard...not just some random card....that could be your problem.

Yes, I have a system card for the unit, but I notice that it will not spin any type of cds. I'm guessing the cd unit is not working properly, because I am able to play regular Hu-Card games. I got it from Ebay and I'm getting in touch with the seller to see what he says. BTW, that is a good deal you got there.

Yea, the guy started the bid at like $1.00 or something with no B-I-N so I msged him and asked him if he would revise his auction and put up a B-I-N for me at $65....he said yes, so I couldn't pass it up. Now I just can't wait to get home from college on Friday and hopefully it will be there waiting so I can try it out.

I got a CD game to work but that's after letting it load for about 15-30 minutes. Is that normal for Turbo CD game?

No. A minute, maybe two. 15-30 is way too much. Not sure what would cause that though.

I dont have an original AC Adapter. I got one from Radio Shack, and it does have the appropriate voltage, but I noticed that the mA for the turbo cd is 1530 while the maximum mA for the AC Adapter I got is 1500. I'm not sure if the 30 mA will make a difference.

Is the system card clean?
Is the cd unit locked all the way in ?
are you trying to use a copy that your not sure works?
Try flipping the unit over and turning the game on....
if that dont work then clean the lense.
if that still dont work, then get the unit repaired.
TV repair shops CAN fix a videogame system you know...
